Here's a shot of Great Falls, VA at full wide angle. In the red circle is a heron. The second shot is a full zoom with a near 100% crop showing the heron. Incredible camera at this price point.

Prince Albert Memorial in London's Kensington Gardens. The first shot is full wide angle (24mm) SOOC. Just resized to fit here. Second shot is full zoom (600mm) with a minor crop to make it 4:3. Third shot is a 100% crop from the 600mm shot. You can read the title of the book he's holding.
