2019 x6 x6m recall?
any one know about this x6 x6m recall? this weekend I went shopping for an x6 x6m and from 3 different dealers I was told that the x6m and x6m are on a nation wide recall and the vehicles can be sold but you cant drive them home until the cars are fixed. I was told had something to do with the rear seats. does anyone have any info about this problem?

I bought a new 2019 X6M about a week ago.
No issue mentioned to me and I drove it home. |

I understand that the issue impacts 2015-19 x6 models. New 2020 models are not affected. Unfortunately, the stop sale came up the day I was going to close on a 2016 x6...so now I wait. The issue and the fix seem to be similar to the x3 and x4 child seat anchor issue - which only took a couple of weeks from public announcement to the dealers being able to resolve the issue on the cars in their inventory. I hope that this will be resolved soon! I'm so looking forward to taking my x6 home!

My 2016 F86 went in to the dealer today to have the rear differential replaced (under extended warranty... with only 22,000 miles on the clock). The recall pulled up and they said they'd take care of it. I'm curious if the story changes about the recall being able
To be performed when the diff gets approved and arrives. I have a car seat in there too... |

Just a following up on this. My SA let me know that that when they actually checked on the recall that BMW has not even issued part numbers or repair instructions for the recall, so no telling how long.
