How far out of the original factory warranty are you?

Best to check directly with those that offer aftermarket warranties as well as your local BMW dealerships if they do and what the costs would be. Make sure when comparing you want to be as close to apples to apples coverage between competing policies.

Of course BMW specific coverage will cover OEM parts whereas aftermarket 3rd party policies usually don't unless there is only OEM parts available for the repair. For nearly identical coverage a 3rd party provider was nearly 1/3 the cost of the BMW Platinum for me.

I actually don't have the car but looking to buy one.

Hope you find one ... they are a joy every day to drive since day 1.

Do know not every 3rd party warranty company will cover an ///M and also I've heard it can be state to state differences too in coverage availability.
