Got 22 inch wheels. 3 tires options (to mix or not to mix)
So, I got 22 inch wheels:
295/30R22 front 335/25R22 rear Here is 3 options that are available: 1. front Michelin pilot super sport rear Pirelli P zero (I think, best ones available for the size) 2. Pirelli Scorpion Zero (all season) 3. VREDESTEIN ULTRAC VORTI (summer performance) mixing not good, isn't it or I should? |

I wouldn’t mix different brands. Go with option 2 or 3.
Btw awesome wheels!!

I have Toyo Proxes STIII. They have been amazing so far. I got them from Amazon Prime for under 1k for all 4. I cant speak to the quality of the rest of those tires you mentioned but thought I would add this suggestion to your list. Their diameter for the AWD is within spec too.

Toyo are not a bad option but Vredsteins are a better tire. I have a set of each on different set of wheels. Vredstein was my first picked but at the time they were very hard to source. Ended with the toyos which were actually pretty good. Now that tire rack carries Vred that would be my first choice. Better traction a s much less noise
Don’t mix your tires |

+1 for Toyo Proxes STIII'3. Don't mix the tires, bad idea IMHO. I've been running the Toyo's for the last year or so and it's a good tire. Limited choices for 22's, none of which will give you the grip of the Michelin's.

another +1 for the Toyos. The scorpions are very expensive and had a harsher ride vs the Toyos which are also M+S rated so you don't need chains in snow
The won't have the grip of a summer tire, but wear + comfort are excellent Make sure to get 30 series and NOT 35 for the front if running 295. Toyo makes both and my shop ordered the wrong ones by accident. Wreaked unholy hell with stability control... |

Decided to go with them, because they are the only option for high performance summer. I guess toyo are all season |

My all time favorite A/S tire so far was Continental DWS06 but since there is no 335/22" size I decided to give it a try to some less know tires : Lionhart LH10 A/S. I wanted a A/S tire and basically there were only two option, these Lionhart or Toyo proxes st3. Lionhart were lighter and better looking pattern so it was a no-brainer! After using them for around three months, including on snow, I could't be happier!

My impression was that the Toyos were the default tires for 22s, not that it matters. I just got a new set of Toyos and have some snow overnight so am curious to see how they will do. Nice to hear that the Lionhart's are a good choice too though.

Actually I've only heard good things about the Toyos. I'm thinking about getting some RF17s and they gave me a choice between Lexanis (cheap) and Pirellis (premium).

I see allot of Toyos around here in Toronto area so they must be pretty good as well. I am also curios about how they perform in snow as a comparison with Lionheart lh10. They are probably very similar ( I will say a 5-6 out of 10) As long as you don't step too hard on it you should be fine. I am being pretty careful if there is snow especially with the 335 rears. I can't even imagine what other drivers thinks when they see such a wide and low profile tire on snow Living in the city streets are always cleared very quickly and when there are not I just take it easy. So far everything was good. I been doing this for a number of years now after getting tired of swapping winter/summer all the times for two cars(mine and wife's). And to be honest, I am quite impressed of how these much wider bmw x6m tires handles in light snow comparing with my sq5 with 265 (and 295 also) Continental dws06. Basically, I feel more confident with my x6m than I am with the sq5. Also, the LH10 are directional while the dws06 are not and it is actually better for the x6m since front/rear tire rotation is not an option
