What is the difference between these two engine air filters?
I have a 2018 X5 xDrive35i. I plan to replace the engine filter myself. Amazon indicates that the following two both fit my BMW:
Mann Filter C 28 125/1 Air Filter Element ($28.76) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...KIKX0DER&psc=1 Mann Filter C 28 125 Air Filter ($15.20) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ZVAHO33W&psc=1 Anybody knows the difference? Thanks! Last edited by HungerfordX5; 08-04-2022 at 04:27 PM.. |

One is bigger than the other. Scroll down and look at the dimensions of the two filters.

The C 28 125/1 has an additional smaller filter pad beneath the larger filter vs the C28 125. If ordering parts...I highly recommend to not search generically...but shop online using the correct 11 digit BMW part nbr based on your VIN. You can use one of the online part database sites (like realoem.com or bimmercat.com) and input your VIN to find the part you're seeking and find the correct 11 digit BMW part nbr for your BMW. This will cut down the probability of ordering the WRONG part.
