Question Best sites/dealers to buy classic cars?

What are the best dealers and/or sites to look for classic muscle cars? I'd specifically like a resto mod 67 Chevelle, but open to something else. Not looking for a super expensive show car or numbers matching anything. Just a nice driver without rust issues is fine.

Mecum Auctions at mecum.com - world’s largest collector car auction company, but still a family business. Specializes in muscle cars. Go to the website and use the Infonet program to search for prices on any car that has sold at a past auction or find listings for the car you’re looking for at future auctions.

Bring a Trailer at bringatrailer.com - online sales and auction company mostly for individual owners, but sometimes dealers. Lots of pictures and details on listings, plus comments from a very active community of enthusiasts.

Interesting - never heard anything negative about BaT. Care to elaborate?

Tried to list my previous AO low mile super clean C6Z & they tried telling me it was worth considerably less. FYI, sold it for what I wanted.

Tried to list my Speed6 & they would only do it @ no reserve. Sorry, you don't get to tell me how much I am going to sell MY car for.

Try www.hotrodhotline.com; they currently have a couple dozen ‘67 Chevelles listed. I haven’t used the site, but know someone who got top dollar for his Corvette by listing it there.

I've heard similar stories about BaT setting unrealistically low reserves. The upside is that, at least in my experience, cars tend to bring retail or better prices so the low reserve doesn't end up hurting the seller. That being said, I think I'd only list a car on there if I was in a hurry to sell.

The best part of BaT by far is the comments section. I've learned an incredible amount just by reading threads on cars I'm interested in.
