Oh well that's good to know. Weird why many others think otherwise. Cool. I've also never noticed a difference between the two ports. Exhaust comes out both.

I just finished up coding VLD in my garage via the bimmercodeapp with the help of the F15 X5 cheat sheet. From the cheat sheet, I changed a value in "LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y" and in "C_AFS_ENA". After coding, I tested it out by turning my fog lights on/off as well as the brights. Just from what I saw, it appeared that the only headlight that was adjusting was the left. When coding I thought I saw a module named "LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_X". Does this correspond to the right? Do I need to change this as well? Thank you!

Just went in for my first oil change for the X5 40e and while there they did a software update for a pre ignition fix.
Of course I expected to lose codings and sure enough I did. Everything is fine except I used to have HUD Turn Signals but when I tried to re apply the coding I noticed it was gone from the HUD section. I also checked the BimmerCode website and under HUD it only lists these: HUD entertainment list Codable in KOMBI FPK_I12, KOMBI L6 BO HUD telephone calls Codable in KOMBI L6 BO HUD telephone list Codable in KOMBI L6 BO HUD voice input Codable in KOMBI L6 BO So is the ability to have HUD Turn Signals gone with the latest app updates?

Got two questions guys,
Via bimmercode, 1,Anyone knows how to disable the auto steering wheel movements after shut off the engine? (Disable easy entry/exit function)? 2, How to lower the start speed for the blind spot detection? The default for that function is about 30mph, can I make it to 10 or 20? Thanks guys.... |

1. You should be able to turn off easy exit in idrive
2. Go to ICM then expert mode, search for C_ZSW_Aktivierunggeschwindigkeit_Funktion_low, set to 20km. I heard any lower and it throws error codes. |

2. Yes, that is how I did it. Look for the ICMQL Module, then go to expert mode and look for 3000 Daten section. Select it and then search or scroll to find C_ZSW_Aktivierunggeschwindigkeit_Funktion_low, select it and change the speed. |

I was able to get this to work a while back ago. Then when I got the MPPK installed they also did other updates which wiped out the coding. I have not been able to get this to work ever since. I suspect that the dealership update has something new that prevents this from working. Tried with both E-sys and BimmerCode and even though they both show it worked the the signals blink just 3 times.

Go to Seat Module (SM) and then Expert mode. Search for 'EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE' and you should see the below module. Change to Aktiv. SM > EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE > Modus_FA_SLV You might also need to adjust the default 'safety' settings, see this thread for discussion about it; http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...asy+entry+seat A little cryptic but you would be able to figure it out, good luck. |

[QUOTE=wjdunn3;22628182]You can set the exhaust flap operation with a different app called Bimmerlink. Its from the same developer that does Bimmercode.
Bimmerlink allows you to set the Ex flap operation as : Auto (default operation), always open, always closed. Bimmerlink also reads trouble codes, let's you clears codes, as well as some other non-coding functions. I think that app is IOS (Apple) only at this time.[/QUOTE I bought a 2017 x35i m-sport and bought the vgate/bimmercode...which module/menu is the option in to keep the flaps open? Cant find it... |
