Fuel Consumption X6M

Hi All,

What will be the average combined fuel consumption mpg while driving in eco pro mode?

Cheers,

You would likely get somewhere around 14mpg very lucky 15mpg. On average I do around high 11mpg. 272 miles on a full tank.

Hi,

Just curious to know the consumption on eco pro and sports mode? Planning to buy X6 M50d or X6M orX3M40i. If I get around 20mpg in mixed mode. I'd go for X6M.

Exactly! On a long cruise, I'll average 15-16. Daily driving I average 12-13.

Go for the X6 M50d. Sounds like you’ll cry with an X6M if fuel economy is important to you. The X6M gets worse gas mileage than even any V12 engine I have hooned. 2nd worst I’ve gotten is 5.5 MPG with Rolls Royce 620hp V12. #1 worst is the X6M where I managed 3.3 MPG on my favorite mountain road. I’m going to flash tune for more power and see if I can break into the 2s. Weeeeeeeeeee! I’m not complaining at all. 100% worth it as far as I’m concerned.

Well first of all the X5M/X6M don't have a Eco Pro Mode. The closest you'll get is Comfort Mode and turning on the Start/Stop mode.

That being said, if fuel consumption is important to you, I'd steer away from the X6M. I use mine as a daily driver in the city and on average get around 10-11 mpg. On longer road trips you'll probably get around 15mpg.

Local I get about 10-12mpg average and I only drive my X5M in Sport+ mode.

Recently went on a 900 mile road trip with the family and I averaged about 17mpg. Highest I was able to see on the trip meter was 19.4mpg while driving conservatively.

I was getting 10.5L/100kM on the highway last week. I could get about 9.5L/100kM from my M5 so I'm fairly impressed. I just got this beast last weekend and it thrills me every time I drive it...totally impressed and I'm not even broken in yet so haven't exercised it yet.

Reading, If its the reading in the UK and you convert US mpg to UK mpg

on average you would see 14-17 mpg if i'm not mistaken. But again all depends on your driving habits.

Still under your 20mpg goal, but as others have mentioned ( and my dealer as well) do not buy the car if fuel is a concern.

It's on par with my E9x M3s I've had. I avg. about 14-15mpg mix 60/40 split between freeway and local.

The very first thing I did when I got my X6M was to turn off Start/Stop mode - I hate it. The next thing was to always drive in Sport+ mode. Otherwise buying the X6M would have been absolutely pointless and I would have gone for a 35i X6 instead.

I do exactly the same. Almost never use start/stop and comfort mode = closed exhaust

Comfort mode only exists on these cars to satisfy emissions requirements, it's pointless and shouldn't be used. The first thing I do is put it in Sport+ mode, otherwise why on earth would you get a car like this. Even on road trips I keep it in S+.

For everyday driving I usually get 12-13MPG or so (US). Even my huge Raptor gets 15mpg. This is definitely not a car you buy if you care about gas mileage, lol.

I average 17.7 MPG mixed of highway and city driving.

I do not baby the car, but I am also not on sport+ and driving crazy all the time.

The point of this car for me was to be able to have a comfortable, spacious 4x4 that can be a monster whenever I want it to be. So comfort mode is a must for me.

Otherwise I would have bought a real sports car.

I literally have no idea why there is such variance on mpg for these cars... I get a solid 13 mixed, 17 highway and that's without being a speed demon... grrrr
