I get them all the time also. just keep blocking the numbers each time.

Also, I recently got a call that REALLY threw me off. It came up on my phone as the same areacode as I am in and even the same prefix as you mentioned, but I noticed a "+" in front of the number indicating an international call.

My areacode is 248, the call was from the +24 country code, and was a scam caller. Had I answered it, the caller could have billed me at some outrageous amount of money ($20/minute for example). It literally looked JUST like a call from my area prefix, if it werent for the + at the front.
So just to show you what this looks like, I received another one today.

Notice the cleverly placed + in front of the number? Thats because its from COUNTRY CODE +248. (for reference, my phone number starts with 248-602-XXXX)

Never do, they do no stop. Only way is to block them as they come in.

When calls from numbers I don't recognize come in, I don't answer generally. If they don't leave a message on more than two calls, I block them.
