New owner and paint already messed up
Picked up a very slightly used 2018 majestic black service loaner for 23% off msrp. Dealer detailed it, I drove it 400mi home (while having fun). My wife took it to a "nice" car wash place and their spinning brush put a huge streak of micro scratches down the side.
I upgraded from a 2009 accord, needless to say I was pretty ticked off. They are buffing the whole car tomorrow, hopefully it comes out. |

On a positive, so long as the brushes didn't get through the clear it should buff out easily.

I grew up washing my own cars with my dad. He was pretty obsessed and would wash them every weekend and wax at least once a month in the summer. I don't ever remember one of his cars being rusted, except for an old chevette he had for 200k miles. How do your guys hand wash? Foam cannon and blow off with a leaf blower? I am trying to minimize swirls on the black |

I ceramic coated my vehicle this summer so that helps a bit for things to not stick to it. I usually use the two bucket wash method, grit guard in both. Wash in straight lines. Leave the bottom 1/4 of vehicle til last as it tends to be the dirtiest. Right now I use a drying towel, but I'm looking at getting leaf blower by Worx that has car drying attachments.

Yeah I can't justify 5-600 dollars for something to blow air, when I can buy a leave blower that does the same for 100 lol

Check out chemical brothers.
I lately started to wash my car again using the foamer method. I also use the CR Spotless to rinse. Idealy though, get some good ceramic coating done. I am planning to get it done on my keeper vehicle once the weather is cooling down.

Hand washing 2 bucket method in conjunction with high sudsing, quality soaps (use with foam cannon and 2 bucket further reduces swirls) the way to go, apparently BMW paint are thin and scratches easily.

I applied it myself so I'm not sure what you can expect to pay. It will all depend on who does it and what product they are using.

And ya your probably gonna drop over $1000 for the ceramic to pay someone. Paint correction alone is gonna run several $100s
