Question Tailgate/Bumper Gap Look Normal?

Sorry for the double thread, as I initially posted in the F85 subforum, but I figured there is more foot traffic here who may be able to help. Below is what I posted...but anyone here experience rear bumper fitment issue on their F15, and more importantly, how was it remedied? Any suggestions on how I might be able to fix without causing damage? Just don't want to make matters worse (by bringing to the dealer) as it really isn't "that noticeable" unless you are trying to find the "gap." The pics make it look worse. Thanks

I can't remember if it was the E70 or F15 that experienced tailgate/bumper issues with broken tabs...I tried searching, but didn't really find much.

I was washing my X5M and noticed what I thought to be somewhat of a larger than normal gap between the tailgate and bumper. From certain angles, when the tailgate is closed, you can actually see the bumper tabs as they are visually contrasted by the matte black tabs and glossy exterior BSM paint. I had my 1200 break in service today and pointed it out to my SA. We looked at other F15s in the showroom and none had gaps wide enough to expose the tabs. He wanted to compare mine to another X5M, but not many around my neck of the woods. From afar, nothing looks suspect.

Can someone please check theirs and let me know if there is a large enough gap that you can see the tabs when closed? Taking pictures was difficult to capture what I'm talking about, but I think you can get the idea. The last few pics are of the tailgate tilted open slightly to get a better look at the tabs. It looks like either the tabs need to be inserted more (if possible?) or the tailgate adjusted lower (if possible?) to meet up closer to the bumper when closed.

That definitely doesn't look right. Forget other F15/F85. Compared to a Tesla that doesn't look alright.

My f15 has a gap but so did every other f15 I've seen before. However the gap isn't as significant as yours.

You should not be able to see the clips like that. Did you just get the vehicle. Was it in for service or something. Looks like someone removed the bumper and when putting it back didn't line up the clips properly and one is caught under where it should be.

As I mentioned above, I think the pics make it look worse than it is (or at least I'm trying to convince myself of that). Unless you are searching for that particular angle in which you can see the clips underneath, it's not obvious.

Got it back in July and just had my 1200 service completed. I didn't see any clips unsecured.

So I brought my M3 in today to get serviced, and they had a black sapphire edition X5M also getting serviced. My SA showed me it's rear bumper, and it appears to match mine. So I'm not sure I'm going to risk having mine addressed. These are the pics of the one today
