I don't think it looks that bad, i like the front but the rear looks too much like an x3. Maybe it would look better in a different color. I might trade my current car if the M sport looks nice.

I'm sure once it hits the road, people might change their mind.

I also think the current line looks better. I'm not repenting ordering my 2013 x6 if this is they lines they are moving to. Looks like current X3 and X1 which I don't like.

I think it has a chance of looking good in person if the foglights aren't placed as depicted, but in the lower openings and the color isn't brown. I can't think of a time when I looked at a brown vehicle and said "that looks nice." The back doesn't appeal much but I think a dark tint might take some of the pain away.
I'm having a hard time getting into any of BMWs new designs. I have high hopes for the 4 series coupe and grand coupe.

It really does look like a dodge Durango. I was parked next to one yesterday all day. Ugly.

That's not fair... Almost every single MSport bimmer is attractive... Even that hideous new 1-series w/ those hideous headlights is okay looking with the Msport package.

That new X5 looks like the molested bastard child of a Dodge Durango, Jeep Cherokee, and Chrysler 300...

What I like about this new X5 is the change to no combination restrictions on the Lines. I really despise that crap in the F30, where you cannot get Saddle Brown sport seats in any F30 model or Lines in the USA.

Finally the executive that approved this nonsense to begin with was transferred to the BMW Lawn Mower division!

Seen as this is the "flagship" in the X Series it has been long over due. Thought it would have made it in the LCI of the E70. BMW pretty much nailed it with the comfort and positioning wise of the front comfort seats in the E70. It has always been a chief compliant from back seat passengers; that a motor costing so much could be that uncomfortable when traveling in the rear. Needless to say I've never been back there ;-)

In E46 H&K was utter crap, in the 1M a bit better but still not good enough for me and now they offer it again in the X5... B&O good for sure, but way too pricey. There you go, I know nothing and I already criticized the car
Haha, thanks for the support. I have no idea how many years I've been on this site, but its always the same chain of events. ALWAYS...

My e46's HK isn't too bad IMO. I worked at a car-audio shop for about 3 years in my younger 20's. It does decent for a 10 year old completely original setup. But it is about time to start (slowly) replacing it...

Car looks horrible. Was waiting to replace my x5 with the new model. Will consider another brand or continue to wait for the X6.

Not looking good for BMW with this model.

My guess is that THIS IS LIKELY A DEALER DEMO ORDER GUIDE AND WOULD NOT REFLECT THE FULL CHOICE OF OPTIONS AND COLORS.

Hasn't BMW always been about limiting buyers on their selections and options for their own benefit? I think so. You have to wait until the product is later on in its life cycle when BMW will then offer more options, special editions, etc. and hope it suits your tastes.

M-Sport Introduction photo's: "OMFG! BEST BMW XYZ EVER!!!!!!!!"

M version photo's: "I MUST HAVE THIS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!"
I still think the new 3 series is one of the ugliest cars on the road. I'm still replacing a Lexus IS we currently have with one in a few months. Its amazing how the auto companies make our minds up for us.

I thought the current X5 was terribly ugly when it first came out. A year later I traded a Range Rover in for one and am currently on my 2nd.

It will be fine when it comes out and it will still outsell the previous model... Just look at the ultra boring/best selling 5 series.
