Good Idea... do you guys have the part number for the steering wheel trim only?

Thanks!

Can you tell us the difference in the sterring wheel apart from the obvious stiching, paddles and that M sticker. Is it thicker? How will you sort out the extra buttons? Stiching looks awesome.

Unless I am wrong, I have checked the M3/M4 to regular M Sport and M5/M6 to regular M Sport, they are the same thickness. Only stitchings, paddle shifter, and trims.
Here is the picture of my F10 steering wheel that I have done.

He's right...same thickness. It's mostly aesthetics between the M-sport and ///M steering wheel.

I am glad that there are several oem plus wheel sizes for the F15 that looks amazing. No need to spend 10K on aftermarket wheels that probably aren't as strong. Any reason why you guys don't go with a wider tire in the back? Looking at everyone with 21 wheels the tires in the back could be beefier/wider where as now they look almost rounded with semi stretch. Just my personal preference i guess. I love seeing X5's with massive wide tires from the rear.

Alan
In agreement here. Wife's X5 has the oem 21" wheels and tires and the 325's don't do it for me. Just doesn't look as aggressive as the older x5's. When it comes time to replace I would love to get something beefier.

No price in the US yet. I ordered a set already though. Just hope it won't break my bank when the parts shows up.

Just got the new M steering wheel installed. The same one that was being sold by the fellow on here a while back. He turned out to be legit. I have the heated steering wheel and lane departure vibration features which work great. We had to take the wiring harness/modules from the old and put it in the new wheel. There was an error code which popped up saying that the ACC wasn't available but that went away once the X5 recalibrated itself. Now everything works great.

atomic80 , looking good.
How do you like the paddle shifter?
I think it is a bit on the small side for the X5/X6.

I didn't see if we could put the old paddles on the new one because to be honest, I never really use them and I think the slimmer paddles look more in line with the rest of the interior design. It's just personal taste I guess.

Yea, you can use the old paddle on the M steering wheel.
What you said is true, it matches better with the rest of the interior. Just a bit too small.
I removed mine after have it on for couple weeks.

The conception of driving a bigger car needs meatier paddles haha

Hopefully I'll be able to play pretend in Atomic80's X5 tomorrow and see if I want to upgrade too

Haha you guys are too much. I just tried my X5 out with the new paddles. I actually prefer these new ones. They're slightly taller than the stock OEM M-sport paddles. Perfect for me.

One thing I found out during this install is that we have TWO batteries in our trunk. The bigger "main" battery and the "backup" battery in case the former dies.

My hats is off to you. Look great. Great taste. I can not wait till you add the (F85)X5M front bumper. This would look great on your X5. I was told it will fit. Have you check into this? Keep us informed on your next project

Not sure I want to go that route. I like the stock X5 M-sport bumper as is. That might change.

LOL.. Lot of people think that they can just purchase the most expensive camera and take professional pictures.

Don't expect to get the same results as Atomic who has had over 25 years of photography experience by using his same exact equipment. Its not always the camera but skills with shooting and using the right manual settings on the DSLR and skills in photoshop.
