*Vredestein Quatrac Pro tires are On!!

Hi all, well having not so good luck here in the northeast with the Continental DWS-06 on my 2013 X6M.. My installer suggested i go with the Vredestein Quatrac Pro on my 2015 X6 50i since I have the staggered 275/40/20 fronts & 315/35/20 rears.. He has heard nothing but rave reviews from owners.. These tires are new and camebout this year to replace the Quatrac 5 line.. He informed me that they improved the wet & snow capabilities.. These tires are a true all season tire and even have the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol.. So far, so good.. They ride nice and smooth.. I Will report back after i have some wet & snow experience with them.. They have sipes on the inside of the tread pattern to bite into the snow and a summer pattern on the outter edges.. A Pretty cool design! The photo is from the front left tire.

Fixed! Thank you.
I was going to get these instead of my DWS. Let us know how they feel and drive. DWS are awesome in snow. I had snow tires but man they were loud!

Very interesting. Priced a little less than dws06. How does the side profile look?

Damn, no 21" size for 612M wheels
I am willing to try 275/35/21 and 315/21/21 if they make them.

Hi..... The side profile looks great.... You would be hard pressed to tell difference between this tire and the oem run flat... You will not be disappointed.. Here is the requested side image.

Kinda hard to tell, but do these have the square shoulder/wide look like the Bridgestone runflats? If you know what I mean...

Looks great.
I just switched to Contis DWS.
Snowed 8 inches in Michigan and I don’t have the heart to get my car out in it as it has never been in snow.
Luckily we also have an Explorer AWD.
Just moved up from FL so being rear drive should be fun. Hey I drove rear drive cars with no abs, bias ply then radial tires etc.
Has to be better.

Garage List
I was reading tire reviews and there is something called European All-Season while we have these American All-Season tires. So the European ones are better in the winter the cost of higher tire wear and more rolling resistance throughout the year. I’m sure it’s also noisier. I assume those are the Euro spec ones that that finally making it Stateside.

Anyways I look forward to feedback. I switched to dedicated winters last year and I don’t regret it one bit.

*Quick Update.... It snowed here in the north east the other day... I had no problems going through 4" to 5" of fresh snow.... None at all.... 100% better than when I had the DWS-06's..... And the best part was that the traction control light never came on.

Hi Vio,
Did have to buy a spare wheel kit?
If so from where and what’s the spare tire size?

Would help me a lot.
All I find is R19"
When in fact we have R20"
If not too much can you snap a picture?

Don't get too caught up with the rim size... It's only a spare.. The only thing that matters is that it's the same height as the other three tires and clears the front caliper when mounted.. This is what mine reads.. I hope this helps.

*This one is the same as mine;

Interesting. Same stagger and also changed to normal tires after purchase. In Sept. TR was not listing these for sale, just Contis and Michelin N-Spec. Now I see them, categorized as grand touring tire. Happy with my DWSs, or should I say my wife is.

FYI, got full spare kit from getbmwparts.com, good source for OEM.

Shudder

Hi ViO,
Can you tell me if your car is 2 wheel drive or XDrive? I have an F15 35D XDrive and changed the tires out last week to these Quadra Pros and am getting slight judder in the drive system at low speeds. What tire pressure are you running please?

Thanks - from a fellow New Englander
