Checking the tire diameters I now see that the 55 is 1 inch larger in diameter for a 3.4% difference.
Question - is this an acceptable tolerance for the transfer case or do I need to change the tires to make them the same? Is this affecting the handling of the vehicle and the pulling or is the pulling something else.

Always, always, always have all 4 tires of equal circumference. Any difference (okay, any non-trivial difference) is too much. This is part of what you signed up for when you bought an AWD vehicle. The car wants all 4 wheels to be going the same speed. If that's not happening, the car is going to try to make it happen and will potentially wear out or destroy some of its components in the process of doing so. It could very likely be the source of your pulling.

Just bought an F15 30D, and noticed when I stop the car and put it in P there is a knocking sound. Can only be heard when outside the car. Any ideas? Thanks

Engage the parking brake before putting the tranny in P, that should do it. This way, the parking brake bears more of the load of the vehicle rather than the transmission. It's cheaper to replace a worn out parking brake.

Charging malfunction warning came up and it ended up being the alternator needed replacing. No explanations as to why. Just out of warranty too. 😔

New owner here, got my X5 two days ago.

First I'm not sure if I've got a xLine or a Luxury Line. I don't have a sport steering wheel if that helps. Watched videos but not sure about that or certain packages I may have. 18" rims...

Noticed after I got home that exhaust is only coming out of the drivers side. Must have been like that for a while. The tip has a good bit of carbon on it and the passengers side is as clean as a whistle.

Any help would be appreciated!

Completely normal with exhaust coming out of the drivers side only. The passenger side only opens up above 60mph

Hi, today I got this tyre pressure warning so I checked the tyre pressure and the rear left was low. I inflated it and made sure all of the tyres are at the correct pressure.

Now when I try to reset this, it just doesn't give me the option to do so. Even with the engine or ignition on. Anyone now why and also could this be resolved with a software update at home?

Is there anyway to control the sensitivity of the alarm? People park next to me and close their door and the thing goes off.

My gas tank falls short of a gallon or two as the lines in the dash is one notch from full... probably a fuel sensor going bad 😩

Camera system malfunction while driving, error popped up and went away. Dealer checked it out and found no issues; besides the stored fault....

Since the time I got mine, the USB connection has been going bonkers. I have asked the dealer to fix it. They showed me a new part installed it. I have bought several brand new original iPhone cables and still it sucks. Never able to connect the iPhone with USB. So finally I got a 12V charger and use bluetooth. But sometimes, it comes off of bluetooth connection while I am in the call. And starts playing music and after 30 seconds goes back to call. Weird.

Apart from that no issue with my xDrive50i M Sport. Hell of a SUV.

And what is this? Something for my phone missing a part or what...

Looking at the tears on the cord in the picture I m not surprised.
Did you try with another cord ?

A lot of X5 have that USB problem including mine. Dealer apparently checked it and found nothing wrong. I'm like did the tech try plugging something into it lol? I just use the power socket with an adaptor now. Apparently it's some head unit that needs to be replaced but I don't see that as being reason enough to allow a stranger to potentially have to remove my centre console for a USB problem when I can use the adaptor instead. I'm on iOS so my phone connects automatically soon as I get in so I only use the adaptor to charge my phone or vape battery lolz.

You may as well remove the phone cradle. It doesn't fit anything larger than iPhone 4 or maybe 5. There are instructions on here how to do remove it. I did mine in like 20 mins. You'll really appreciate not having that cradle in the way.

The phone cradle isn't attached at all, I'll just get it out of the way.

I can't update my software with out putting it on a USB junk drive is my understanding. My phone is connected through Bluetooth. Map updates are another issue, if I figured out the steps to do that I've seen it another post what good would it do with a USB drive that doesn't work...

I've gotten the most complete breakdown I could find and still have questions about the options on the car. Seems to have a majority of the options except a few. Seems strange it's lacking a few basic upgrades like lane assist and more than the lowest of the 3 grades of stereo system.

It opens up over a certain rpm rather than a speed, it's supposed to make it quieter at lower revs according to BMW, as it's more a refined car than a sports car. The M Sport exhaust does not have this valve and hence a rortier, louder noise.
