Yes,that is pretty much the best you can do on the rears.
Front are 100% perfect.
If you pay attention to some X5's with OEM fenders, you will notice a small gap too. I actually have seen few with a significant gap. Others, are almost completely flush though.
I noticed that as well, even in the new G05 pictures there's a slight gap.

I put ebay flares on a couple of years ago and had the same problem with the rears. I'm a bit surprised they still sell them like this
Anyway, as someone mentioned, I just cut out some of the tabs and got the rears to fit well enough. Obviously this shouldn't be necessary but I'm happy with the overall result.
I was quoted $1500 for OEM flares and paint by the dealer, so it was worth the risk. Best solution however would have been to option 20"s from the outset and get the flares included, but I didn't realise this at the time

Here's mine. The front fits perfectly but the rear is a little bit off.

I have the same problem (see pictures). The problem I see is that there are not enough rivets present under the wheel arch, and if the mold is warped it is hard to correct it.

Dealership was asking $1,280 CAD for the set and I paid about $350 CAD including shipping from eBay.

The cost savings are so worth 3mm of misalignment. In fact, I was at a dealership last week and was looking at an X5M and the wheel arch was slightly off as well. Not as much as these eBay ones, but not perfectly flush either...and for $115K, I would want everything to be perfectly aligned lol.

Set it and forget it bro.

I'm not bothered by it I was expecting it to be like this and I am happy of the savings, besides it's just a plastic piece that will get scratched and rock chipped eventually.

For those of you that had these ebay flares painted about how much $ did it cost? Looking to do this ASAP. Obviously, prices will be different amongst different paint shops but looking for ball park figure here.

You can paint it, but it is not primer-ready. The rough texture and raw plastic needs to be sanded out, primed, and painted.

Correct, I know they'll have to be prepped that's why I'm inquiring about a price.

I was quoted $600 for paint and $200 for install.

Wow! Higher than I thought. Was actually thinking paint and prep would be around $200. Install should be straight forward so I can do that. I've got new push tabs.

Well shops know this is an expensive part if OEM.

I did buy the matte black one and installed myself. Looks quite good unpainted.

Only 16 total? See attached pic. Looks like you'll need well more than 16 total. Can anyone confirm total needed?

No a lot more rivets. More like 16 per side. So total 32. I think the rear has 6 and the front has 8 plus two screws. Plus you will damage some during installing. Get a bag of 50.

Can anyone enlighten me on the ebay pricing. I just clicked the first link that was posted and found them to be $153 each. Im confused, do i have to buy 4 of those or does it come as a set of 4? Basically, buying 1 quantity... does that get me all 4 fenders?

They come in a set of 4 so you only need to buy one.

That's what I thought! I only bought a bag of 30 so looks like I'll purchase another one. Appreciate the insight!

You might be ok starting with 30. Can skip a few middle ones and install them later if you need.

If you are using a rivet tool, that’s good otherwise you will end up destroying a few like me.
