All good, I just ordered 30 more. I'll have plenty

Started test fitting the ebay fender flares today. Surprised my fender flares didn't come with holes drilled for the push pins. It has the provisions where the holes should be at least. Also a bit concerned that the rears won't be attached at enough points around the middle of the wheel arch. Stock had tabs on the inside that clicked into place but ebay flares have no provisions for these tabs. See pics, first two pics are OEM and 3rd is ebay flare

Sorry to tell you this but this is actually the same issue with my first set. I chose to go with a higher quality one.

The higher quality one had the tabs and the holes and were just $100 more.

Well damn, that's a bummer! I used the same ebay link as the OP which from the pics looks like he made it work. What's your secret OP? I could use double sided sticky tape around the top of the wheel arches but once summer time heat rolls around I don't see that holding well.

I did not have this issue when I installed mine all of them had exact same tabs as OEM flares did, that is a unpleasant surprise, I would contact seller in this case.

Happy Customer

Another happy, successful conversion here. Fitment was perfect, except for one of the arches. And that's just my picky-self issue. No one else would notice.
Story: Bought the Chinese eBay 'knock-off' arches. Took them to a local painter (months ago). And finally got around to installing them yesterday. I waited until I get new wheels/tires before putting these on. Pics are still the old wheels/tires.

Does anyone know where I can find paint ready fender flares? Most of the ones I find on eBay are not paint ready. Trying to avoid OEM. with employee pricing they are like $500-$600

Did your bodyshop have to sand these prior to paint?

Yes. Sand, clean, prep for proper paint adhesion. It's not just spray and go operation if you want it to last.

That's a good price. I was originally quoted $300 then he upped it $75 when he found out it was a dual stage mineral white color.

Here is my experience and some pictures.

Here is a link to the flares if anyone is interesed at $269: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...%3A12%3Apf%3A0
$209.69 After placing the order it took 14 day exactly for delivery to my house in US, Upon opening the box and just looking at the flares everything looked well I am going with the black unpainted look so the raw plastic texture was important to me which it was, similar to the oem flares. These can be painted as well but I imagine would probably was to be sanded a little for smooth paint finish, I am not going to paint them so I'm not really concerned with that. Installation was straight forward and I am really happy with the look after the installation. Below are pictures of the final result, with 449 style wheels warped with plus size 265/50/19 Nitto NT421Q tires and a 25mm spacers in the rear. With Flares the 449 rear wheel does not look good without spacer 25mm spacers brings it out and it looks just right in my opinion.

Based on my experience at $209 you cannot go wrong with this fit is spot on finish is nice and its 1/4th price of the oem flares. Tip if your are installing these they don't come with rivets so you have to source them your self. I'm not a fan of the original pop rivet type one time use. I have used instead this type of expanding rivet with good results bmw part #51118174185 you can get these almost anywhere I have ordered mine here:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...PZ%26vxp%3Dmtr
I would definitely this to any one looking to get expended flares.
Hi buddy, i was going to buy the same wheel arches like yours (with the same seller) but he said that it needs adhesive to be attached, so i just want to make sure it is not a add on cover over the original flat wheel arches.

Purchased form AliExpress, oem color matched using spray cans (came out very nice). It made a huge difference to the looks imo.

Can you share a link to the listing you ordered the wheel arches from on AliExpress?

I have a black X5 Sdrive35i with the texture black trim. Putting on a set this weekend that I got form carparts.com. Looking at the fender rivet you used, how are they holding after a year plus? Looking to use the same for ease of use, but wanted to see if worth that vs. the pin type. Thanks in advance for the comments.
