Side mirrors fold in on locking the car

Do our F15s have the option to fold in the side mirrors when locking the car with the remote?

Just press and hold the lock button on the key fob and it will fold in the mirrors (will also close any open windows if you keep it held down until they close)

If you have comfort access, holding your finger on the door handle for 3 seconds will also fold the mirrors.

its a feature available in EU spec vehicles by default. in NA spec vehicles this feature needs to be coded, along with closing windows.

Closing windows seems to be available by default in NA spec vehicles. Mirrors you have to code.

I tried to hold the "close" button on the remote for over a minute, no any change.
How do I code the mirrors folding?

See posts #4 & #5...and also check your owners manual. The convenient open & close feature as well as the available operation of your folding mirrors is covered.

Just an FYI (cause it seems you missed the mention of it)...the European market has different coding available for the side view mirrors as standard coding.

One way to code is with BimmerCode and Vgate obdII.

Inside the BimmerCode app.. you'll see this in the app just set it to Active.

if it actually works by holding the button for a damn minute, then might as well open the damn door n press the switch beside the mirror buttons...

But if it's not programmed to fold, it won't 😜

I bought Veepeak Bluetooth and it works really good. Also I heard that is more reliable than Wifi.

I coded mine to fold on lock. They also fold when I lock with courtesy handl if I hold it for a second or two after it locks.

I set mine to close on lock then you can adjust the timing so you don't have to hold so long!

Unless I am in a tight parking situation where there would be a benefit to folding them, I don't fold the mirrors. Just shortens the mirror motor life.

That’s my thought too. Definitely agree it is a great feature to be able to fold with the push of a button (and on occasion do use it); however, if repeatedly folded, would expect to shorten life of the motor.
