Careful with this. If the dealer realizes that you have auto fold when locking, they'll know you've coded the car and will void warranty. At least this is what I have read.

To avoid premature wear on the mirrors, I'd say only fold when you really need to, in tight areas.

if i ever have an issue of a fried folding mirror, i'll code it back to non-active and just play dumb with the SA.

i have mine set to long hold, so i have to hold the fob/comfort button longer if i choose to fold usually in tight situations or places where i really want to look cool

Also don't start your car too often, it shortens the life of the engine.

Starting a cold engine probably puts more wear on it than anything else you can do to it.

After coding via E-sys it appears that F15 side mirrors are not folding with keyfob.
Strange. There lots of other brands that have mirrors fold and unfold simultaneously during lock and unlock.

I understood Esys is better.
After coding the side mirrors fold only after the car is locked and when I hold my finger on the door handle for 3-4 second. And if mirrors are folded, they unfold when the door gets open.
The only hiccup, mirrors don't fold with the keyfob.

After reviewing the cheat sheet carefully, I edited 2 more options related to windows rolling that somehow effecting mirrors. And after this coding now mirrors are folding and unfolding with the keyfob.

As far I know if there is a problem they will first reprogram your car. If that fixes the problem then you will likely be charged. If that does not fix the problem, they will fix the problem you have under warranty.

Besides the law is on our side. If the dealer raises an issue, I'd speak to their service manager about the FTC and Warranty Acts. Basically they cannot void your warranty just because you have coded your mirrors. They must be able to prove that your modification is the reason a part has failed. At most they can say your mirror folding functionality failed as a result of the coding. Even then that is a gray area because you are not actually "coding" but more on changing a bunch of settings in the car that is already built-in.

95000 miles later, I did not know the heated seat temp can be adjusted. Mine has always been too hot even on setting 1

Me too! I turned level 1 as low as it goes and it's still a little too warm to me.

Good thread. This is what I'd like to do - folding when holding button down, not folding all the time. So it's not a simple on/off in Bimmercode menu, it's something different? TIA.

You can choose how long before it folds.

Yup, did yesterday and worked great. FYI I found mirrors in the "Body Domain Controller" category on my Bimmercode menu.

Do your fold immediately when locking the doors? I have to do a long press to make them close after coding this, where as my 2017 5 series fold immediately on pressing the lock button on key fob.

Why do y'all use the key fob when you just touch the door handle. What's the point of comfort access if you don't use it lol. Mine fold immediately using the key fob but only after holding my finger on the door handle for like 3-5 seconds do they fold.
