I just ordered a set of front PowerStop pads and sensor, has anyone changed the front only or do you typically switch both front and rear?

Thanks,
Bryan

Switch them both - front and rear. You’ll be happy you did.

What would be the point in only switching one, as you'll have clean wheels in the front and dirty ones in the rear from the brake dust.

That's going to be us moving forward as we don't have dustless options for Porsche brakes. Although the rando pads I have now work just fine. Not too much dust.

Not true, I have a set of Power Stop Z23 Carbon Ceramics on the rear using the Porsche calipers.
These are the same carbon ceramics pads that I have on the front and now the rear. And the same ones, I run on my AMG.

Z23-1417 for the Porsche Panamera rear calipers...$40 (not incl shipping) from rockauto and $49 shipped from Amazon.

You can purchase these thru Amazon or RockAuto, just search using a 2017 Porsche Panamera Rear Brake Pads, then look for PowerStop Carbon Ceramics

Do you happen to have the part #?

Yes…exactly. I ordered mine directly from their website, but they also sell on eBay.

Looks like everyone, but 1 person, just swapped pads but left the rotors as is??

For the people who just put pads on, did you measure the rotors? If so, at what spec did you decide (or not decide) to replace the rotors at?

I have a 2015 with 65k on it. The squealing is ridiculous and embarrassing….

The minimum thickness for the front rotors are 34.40mm and the rear rotors are 22.40mm, as the minimum thickness is stamped on the rotors.

If you have a noticeable lip on the other edge, they're probably due for replacement, just saying.

I just replaced my pads, but not the rotors after 42k miles.

The Powerstops are damn good once you bed them in. Beyond a tad less initial cold bite, they are just as good as OEM. And I don't sound like my kids school bus stopping nor belch brake dust like I'm rolling smoke in a diesel.

Hi if going with Powerstop front pads, do you need to change the front OEM Rotors? I was reading most of the pasts posts, any other product should be considered to stop the squealing?
Thanks,
Frank

No need to change the rotors, just apply anti-squeal paste to the back of the pads, and contact surfaces.
