My pet peeve issue - My door handles are incredibly loose. When I open my doors from the outside it feels like I'm just pulling them rather than a crisp unhinge feeling in the handle. No sound, just dull...
Ideas? Apologies too many conflicting hits on search!

Sound like leaf/paper fluttering in wind just below drivers door
Hi All
I have a weird one in terms of problem. My x5 (2015) produces a fluttering sound of paper or leaf just below drivers door when speed is above 40 mph. Any ideas what the sound could be? For the older members the sound is of the type a bike wheel would make when you stuck a straw in it. Thanks Avi Rao |

2014 F15 Nappa leather dashboard shrinking
Hi everyone.
It seems like overnight, the Nappa leather on the dashboard of my 2014 x5 (39K miles) started to peel. It looks horrible and hard to imagine that the quality of BMW is so bad. Any suggestions or ideas of cost to repair? Images attached. Thanks!!! |

CIC Connected drive rebooted a few times the past few days - then it erased my phonebook and stored navigation. It will not import the phone book, but does Bluetooth to my phone . Will try to upgrade the software this week, dealer said - bring it in and leave for a few days " may have to replace the unit" $1800? NOT

Doesn't look like pealing to me, it looks like it is pulling away from the edges. Has the car spend a lot of time in the sun? My black dash gets so hot I have resorted to using a sunscreen in the front window, it keeps the car cools and the sun isn't beating down on the dash all day when it's in the sun.

Figured I'd post in here rather than start a new thread...
I'm currently looking at different methods of securing my subwoofer from sliding around in the trunk, and have arrived at either drilling into the 2nd row backseat, or just the trunk floor. Does anyone know the ideal areas of the backseat to drill into for anchoring? I tried screwing into 2 different places within an inch from the vertical edge of the seat and it was like screwing into nothing and easily pulled out with my fingers and certainly won't be able to hold the weight of a sub from sliding. I know I've seen amps installed to those backseats before and were much more towards the middle of the seat than near the edge; but I was hoping for more specific advice other than "screw further away from the edge." Thanks. |

Rear suspension problems F15 M Air suspension
On the left side my air suspension raises to a certain point then starts to hiss.. then leaks all the way down as low as it can go.. then doesn't try to raise until I go through a start sequence again.. Compressor? faulty relief valve? or Faulty air spring? what do you think?

Anyone have any ideas why my coasting feature stopped working? Nothing has changed; haven't coded anything in a long time. It's still checked in the menu options, attempting to use without cruise control, in eco pro, shifter to the right, etc. I used to use coasting all the time but now it won't work at all.
Per another thread, I tried resetting my tire sensors numerous times to no avail! |
