I see you like the Torque app. Have you tried the DashCommand app? I hear it's just like Torque. Glad your car is running great this winter .

I haven't timed it, but if I had to say off the top of my head, definitely in the low 4s. I plan on getting the OBD2 bluetooth scanlink with DashCommand app to test it out when I get my car back.

RaceChip truly delivers for the money. The car is a 30d.

ANother member on here had it and his f15 totally freaked out with it.
The car would slam on the brakes by itself from 80mph and turn off at highway speeds. Once he unplugged it the car would go back to normal.
He thought it was caused by the racechip at first.

Oh wow, thanks for the heads up. Which one should I consider then? http://www.amazon.com/ScanTool-42720...link+bluetooth I assume is the best and works for both Torque and Dash Command.

Eh, no worries, I ordered the one above anyway and will report back to everyone how it goes.

It costs as much as V1 radar detector. It may be great, but I don't think it's worth it. Nonetheless, here's a good discussion about many of them including the VBOX Sport: http://fiestast.net/threads/data-loggers.806/

Vbox is the only one that performs very well and it's been tested multiple times.

Thinking about a RC for my '15 328d, this thread is encouraging, especially if anyone can do stock and with RC comparisons, most useful to see what are real changes and what is butt dyno.

What are you basing this one? APR claims dyno runs that put an A4 darn near equal with a stock S4 with just a tune and an exhaust. GIAC and Uni are all right around the same as well. Plenty of upgrade parts and paths for the "stock" non S/RS cars.

I'm strictly basing it on stock when you buy them brand new without mods . They are underpowered in this scenario while comparable BMWs are not. For the money, you get better performance from a stock bmw than a stock audi unless it's an S/RS model. In that price range, what makes more sense to you? I love Audis, but I'm just explaining that the manufacturer has always underpowered their stock vehicles. Just take a look at their SUV line. It's pathetic. If you remember back in the day, the first R8 was a joke until they bought a gallardo engine and put it into the V10 version.

Will do. Yes I have the 30d
the car is fine but I haven't had the opportunity to really rew it out but so far it's holding up good and the power gain is noticeable. We got a guy here that tuned his 530d to about 380 hp whit stock turbo, modified ecu, cat delete, downpipe etc and that car held up great so I think the worst thing that can happen is that I get error code for exhaust or maybe a limp mode code witch is a easy fix. How is you E3 setting holding up?

I've been trying E3 for about a week and no CEL. I also use DashCommand with a WiFi OBDII with no problems.

Can you give us a comparison from your other settings.

S1 = 2
S2 = E

and other settings you have tried compared to S1 = 3 S2 = E.

Is S1 setting changing the fuel delivery timing which increases torque?

How far to push the S1 setting and not worry about any major damage?

How many miles you spend on a setting before changing?
