You are correct they do "under rate", the M6 GC CP runs around 640BHP, thats a bit more than quoted 575BHP.

Hello Bmw drivers. I am new on this site. I have read lot of stuff about racechips. I live in EU and drive f15 3.0d (2014). I want to do something to achieve better performance. Is the racechip right way to go? And if so which one? Don't want to loose factory warranty.
I have read posts from "paicabo". Are there any problems with your car? Considering you tryed lot of programs from Racechip. And which one is the best for your car?

Thank you guys

RaceChip truly delivers for the money. The car is a 30d.
F15 40d is still faster from 0-100, 5,9sec...

You can also consider the MPPK for 30d. It will not give you the Racechip numbers but it's a performance tune from BMW, so warranty will not be an issue.

Been running racechip since October last year whiteout one single problem. Been runing the absolute max setting on the chip since December. It actually saves gas on ecodrive on highwayspeeds, I did a comparison on a road trip to Italy. Just bye and try you won't be disappointed but don't forget to dismount the tuning unit if your leaving the car for service at AD etc.

Which one do you use? Pro or Ultimate. They recommend Ultimate. But I don't see the big difference in performance. Except the price almost double.

I use the pro version, as you mention I couldn't justify the higher price for ultimate vs the limited power gain.

Ultimate here and 99% of the USA folks are on Ultimate

Reasons why: it's not more expensive if you buy thru an Authorized Dealer (discount)
Ultimate has a faster processor (smoother power delivery) and the Unit seems to be a bit different
The power gain is not just all but also with Ultimate you're able to transfer it to another car but you can't with pro.
Ultimate = longevity, better investment

You CAN actually transfer the Pro to another car. I did based on recommendations from RaceChip Germany - I just needed to change the settings, new provided by RC. The box was originally for a X3 F25 20D - now in a X5 E70 30D

I have installed the RaceChip Pro2 today. I got it on settings DE0, CR02. There were no faults on boardcomputer. I went for a short drive. It seems the car has some more power. What are your experience guys with best settings? The engine is 3.0d.
Thanks

Hello guys.

I got the chip with settings S1=E and S2=0. I wrote to tech from RaceChip to send me other settings. Today I got two more settings from them. They wrote me that those two are very good and strong settings.
1. S1=0 S2=3
2. S1=2 S2=0

What are your experience with different settings? Does anyone know how high of the performance level are those two settings? I am trying to get info where is the max setting.

You say that you are running the absolute max setting. Which is it? S1=7 and S2=7?

Thanks

Default Settings RC Ultimate

So, I just received a RC Ultimate today for my '15 F15 35d M Sport. The default settings are S1=0 and S2=E. After reading posts in this thread I was a bit confused about S1 vs. S2 defaults so I asked RC to clarify. They came back with S1=1, S2=B which further confused me for this vehicle. In the end they agreed that S1=0, S2=E is correct default. Did anyone else received different default settings from RC for F15 35d? Before I start playing around changing settings, what experiences has anyone had with changing these defaults (good and bad)?

Mine is getting deliver this Friday. I was recommended by a member to keep the stock setting for couple of weeks/fuel tanks, then increment in.

Begin whit the E2 setting further settings don’t give much after that, it think that’s: s1=E s2=2. If you want info on settings search the forum, a lot of posts on this about a year ago. E2 is the preferred setting among most. God Luck

Thanks Paicapo. I found a great tuning thread started by Opasha (http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1078371 for those that don't know about it) that has a wealth of info. Sometimes hard to find what you're looking for but there certainly is a lot of great information on this forum!
