You have to do the reset because of the change in viscosity of the fluid.

Sorry to wake up an old thread

Does anyone know if rear driveshaft removal is needed which looks like it needs a BMW driveshaft nut wrench like the one from AGA

all information would be appreciated

No, you don't need to remove the rear driveshaft, just disconnect the 3 bolts on the rear output shaft. Support the driveshaft in two locations (near the split and near the front.) I used a box and a jack stand to support them as mine was up on ramps.

Be sure to remove the 3 bolts that do NOT have nuts. This will keep the rubber guido aligned. Also mark a line so that the holes go into the same location where they came out of.
