The more I look at these the more I plan on waiting for some other manufacturers to release their products. I had Vorsteiner components on my F10 M5 and they looked great. Nothing wrong with BMW parts, but I don't think we need any more M logos on these cars. And some of them are just asking for problems.

Question...
Do most of you guys like the contrast of the carbon fibre against a lighter, exterior colour like Alpine/Mineral White, or do you like to see it blend in against a darker background, like a black or carbon black?

I prefer the contrast of a lighter color with CF components.

Has anybody been able to find these options on the bmwna website yet? I haven't been able to find any information.
They had an alpine white X5 with all these options at the Chicago auto show and my wife & myself saw them in person. I would definitely say that are a must buy. The car looks stunning! |

No they're not.
While listed on Tischer's site, they aren't available in US inventory channels. Not sure about EMEA where you are, but here only CF mirrors and grilles are available at the current time.

I wrote to BMW to check when I'll be able to order the parts. I just got this back:
Thank you for contacting BMW of North America, LLC regarding BMW M Performance Parts for your new 2014 BMW X5. These parts should be available for order through authorized BMW centers within the next month. We suggest keeping in touch with the parts team at your authorized BMW center for the most up-to-date information. Should you need it, a list of our authorized BMW centers is available at: www.bmwusa.com under “Dealer Locator.” |

I have them all pre-ordered through my parts guys. Latest availability seems to be mid to late March.

Are you sure that you're not looking at the rear calipers? Strange that BMW would advertise them as 6 piston when they're really only 4. What did the shop you ordered them from say?

These are correct. It's a mistake (not uncommon) in BMW's marketing. They were developed from the X5 M, but aren't the same. I guess whoever wrote the materials copied that over. EDIT: In doing some homework, the X5 M has 4-piston front calipers.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm hoping that these brake systems are at least that much better than the stock non-M setup that's already on the 50i to make it worth upgrading to.
