Better, yes. How much remains to be seen. I had higher expectations.

They also need to be coded and can only be installed at a BMW center for warranty purposes.

How hard to replace the grill? Think a do-it-yourself job?

Super easy. Each kidney grille is 2 pieces. You first need to remove the outer ring (pops off) followed by the inside slats (also pops off). Use a trim removal tool or other nylon/black stick to remove so it doesn't mar/scratch the finish.

Awesome...can you also post a picture of the rear calipers too? I'm wondering if they're also blue as well?

They're wrapped up awaiting my delivery. But yes, they are blue.

Thanks. I'm starting to think BMW is shipping the car to me in pieces with all I have waiting for it. What are you driving?

I resisted ordering parts beforehand for that exact reason. I've ordered a bunch of parts before getting a car before and think it's better to see the car in person before deciding what to get. I only got rubber mats and a sunshade beforehand this time.

So far I've installed blacked out grille pieces, painted front and rear reflectors from iND. Will install the m brakes and pedal set. I think that's it for now. No plans to get the cf trim pieces, steering wheel, etc nor the 21" wheels.

I have a xDrive50i M Sport. Arrived last week. What are you getting and what parts have you gotten for yours?

I'm waiting on a xDrive50i M Sport as well. Got grilles and reflectors from iND. Brakes. Lots of other tricks up my sleeve once it comes in.

Can't wait to see what you do with it. Did you keep the M5 or is it a replace with the X5?

I sold the M5 over the summer to a fellow enthusiast on this forum. This replaces a Jeep SRT I had briefly. My Tesla replaced the M5 but I sold that after they raised their prices.

So what's your daily? Is the 5.0 gonna hold you or just an interim until the X5M?

It's planned to be an interim car. But might give it to my partner when the X5M comes out. I picked this platform since it's the most technologically advanced in the BMW lineup right now. I can't wait to see what they do with the X5M.

There's a picture of the X5M in the latest C&D magazine..and they're saying it'll possibly have 600 hp. Jesus...that's not a SUV. It's a rocket! My 12C has 625 hp so this X5M comes pretty close to that!

Haven't seen prices for the Performance Kit or Exhaust. Come to think of it, not sure I even have part numbers.

Yeah, I have a PM into Evan @ Tischer BMW.
However, I really would like to know the prices when installed via VDC

Just got the ///M Brakes installed. I think the blue really looks good with Space Grey

Haven't had a chance to try them out fully yet but when I do I'll be sure to share my impressions with you folks.

Also had them install the ///M pedals too. Matches the BMW OEM rubber mats.
