With great help from blakedunc235 , I got everything working besides reverse camera. It works when I put the car back into park but in reverse, shows a blank black screen. I thought it was the small switches on the unit but it was in the ON position as the paperwork states if I have OEM camera.

Go to the joyeauto menu and turn off rear/front camera, tv, and the few other options there.

Yup I did all that and still shows blank screen. Maybe I need to put camera switch in off position on the unit itself

Figured it out!

The switch for guidelines was on, should have been off.

My issue now is when I speak to someone on the phone, they hear their echo. Anyone got a quick fix before I track back to the previous posts?

Where did you place the CP mic? If it's too close to the oem, you'll get echo or feedback

I didn't do the FW upgrade and have no echo problems at all. And I have the mic behind the screen as well.

There's an echo on mine too. Only other person can hear it not me. I put mine behind the screen also. I will just switch over to OEM Bluetooth I guess. Where is the OEM mic located that it might be too close?

Yeah so shouldn't be echoing it's not close to oem. I think microphone could be better then

I think it has something to do with oem mic canceling out the caller and the same not happening with the car play unit.
Will mess with the settings today and see if it can be somehow modified.

Yeah, so we have to figure out if we can cancel out the aftermarket mic completely and uses BMW's.

When my wife called me, the BMW BT picked up, not the car play but when I make a call, it defaults to BT. Maybe if there is a "priority" list where we can put BMW BT as first, it would solve all problems.

Just did the firmware upgrade and still echo. Only way to not have echo is if I switch to bmw bluetooth during a call.

And just realized for some reason my wireless car play stopped working, now only works if I connect to usb

Yes. You have to go into BT menu on the JoyeAuto and connect that way. I had same issue and was ready to freak out lol.

Only thing so far I'm annoyed by is all songs start at :03 😩

Since a few of you missed out on the group buy last time by a few days, I'd be willing to set up another one for another round. I reached out to Joyeauto and they advised there is an updated box design they are now selling. Will work as the previous model, it's just a slightly different shape. Still waiting to hear back on pricing, but since it's the newer model the price sounds like it may raise slightly from the last group buy. I'm thinking no more than $320+tax, but I will advise. Shipping is free

AliExpress will be having a sale November 11th, not sure if that will give any more discount or not.

The sale on 11/11 will not give more of a discount for a group by. In fact, I was advised to try to get these on order before 11/11 to avoid the massive logistics rush that will happen and more than likely delay shipments.
