How 'swappable' are the Harman Becker/Logic 7 Amplifiers in the 2015/2016 X6's?

Trying to find a used replacement for my unit and it seems like there's a bunch of 'versions', they all look identical (same connectors/size/shape/etc).

I haven't pulled out my dead one (haven't figured out which parts need removing in order to access the whole mounting bracket), but hoping a HK Logic 7 unit pulled from an X6 that's maybe 1.5 years younger than mine should be perfectly compatible wouldn't it? ('15/X6M).

Do those need coding upon replacement? or are they just 'dumb' swaps?

I pulled my stick H&K out of my vehicle. Easy pull needed a DSP for the aftermarket amplifier interface.

Side note if you want a stock H&K amp let me know. I don't ever think I'll put mine back in.

Thanks guys, I had a coding session with Steve at codemybimmer.ca and after he was done recoding the head unit the amp came back to life. The amp was fine, it was the head unit that needed to be married to the amp.
