Cool thanks! Can someone provide a sound clip of the AFE intake? Thanks!

I don't have a clip but I currently have RK intakes and the sound and throttle responsiveness was better on the AFE units imo.

I would recommend this intake to anyone looking for good all around performance and the sound is a plus. It is definitely better then the stock intake. I had dinan air filters and cover, this intake beats it by far. For the price it’s hard to beat.

Now comparing to rk I haven’t personally ran that intake system but I am happy with the AFE

So I installed the AFE intake yesterday. Initial impressions are favorable. Installation was dead simple. I did however identify what I think is the root cause of those people who received MAF dtc errors. The mating surface for the MAF cartridge on the AFE elbows is not dead flat. Its raised in the middle where the brass inserts for the new hardware bolts screw into. This can let the MAF wiggle a bit and potentially let air by when under strong vacuum from the turbine impeller. I suspect whats needed is just planing the surface a bit to get a true flat mating for the MAF and perhaps some sealant for good measure. I left it as is for now to see if I get the code, and then I'll try the fix if it comes up.

Driving impressions so far are there is definitely an increase in low speed throttle response. Just feels like it needs less pedal effort to move than before. It has a nice spooling sound at part throttle too. Haven't really gotten on it hard yet, but I'm happy with the benefits so far.

I've made a few videos

About 5 days and 500km of driving and no cel so far with the afe intake and pro dry filters. Tough to get a video of the sound you need to be near something to reflect the sound like a tunnel, but then the exhaust over powers it since i have down pipes. It's not much louder than stock to me, but throttle response it's very noticeable. Almost like being in sport plus in eco mode and strung out on Crack in sport+. Well worth the price of admission. I recommend it.

1000+ km, and several weeks.. nothing but smiles. No cel, no issues or any kind. Sounds good, and marked increase in throttle response and top end pull. Very happy with it!

You def notice the difference on the throttle right away. The M seem to have more of a jump. I've been driving for about 200 miles so far so good. Hoping everything will be ok with the CEL! lol

Just picked up these intakes from a forum member and it included intake socks that were given to him by aFe when he had complained of CELs. Any of you guys have these?

Well the socks didn't help prevent the CEL. hahaha Will try the silicone around the MAF as suggested by KLR X5M.
