>> One lesson I learned - if you do not warm the vehicle up before driving...ahem...quickly....you will go through oil every 2k miles. Once I got better at warming the engine up before doing over 3k RPM, my oil issues disappeared.

TOTALLY.

So these cars hold up well upto 50-70k miles ? I don't drive like a mad man do not track just 0-100 speeds max and always keep service up to date.

Just don't want crazy 4-5k bill expense buying used.

I'm looking at two x6ms

One is 49k black on red with 50k miles
Another is for 56k white on red with 36k miles .

Both are bad ass daily and couldn't tell any difference even on the 50,000 miles driven x6 as suppose to the one with 36k miles

Both well taken care off with many service records clean carfax.
As far as I've been told by my independent shop, these cars will be good for about 100K or so.

In my opinion, whatever you do, never own one of these cars without a CPO Warranty and extended maintenance program. I have both plus the wheel/dent etc on my '17 that I recently bought with 43K miles. Already being a CPO, I'm covered for a lot of things and the other day they did thousands of dollars worth of work for $0 including all four corners of rotors/pads/sensors, some light engine work, and a tiny dent that was probably there on delivery.

You buy one of these for cheap money without that coverage and run into a main seal or bad turbo or something like that you couldn't have predicted (which I did about 150 miles into ownership - main seal) and you'll be out thousands.

My total purchase price was $66K including sales tax, Allstate CPO wrap warranty for 3 years, BMW Ultimate Care+ maintenance for 2 years that actually includes rotors and pads "as needed" (mine were needed the other day and should have been replaced before I took delivery, but they just did them without issue), GAP insurance, premium tire/wheel/dent/interior etc etc. The full works because this is my re-entry into the category and I wanted to be covered for everything and get the max tax deduction in the process.

On an entirely different note, have you considered the X3M? Check out the stats on that thing! If it's not too small, it's a badass rig with amazing stats. C/D tested it: 0-60 in 3.3s and .97g on the skidpad. It's not the V8, but holy smokes...
Hey bud I test drove one today x3m
Comp I think it's too small I'm
Not super tall but even at 6'2 that was a go kart to me.

Still torn between x6m x5m or a new m50 86k stripper .

I saw it . Nice looking x5m. Your asking price is way to high and I don't need the mods .

After a lot of searching pricing out the aforementioned rides a buddy of mine directed me to the darker side on a 2017 GLE 63 S coupe certified with only 31k miles highly optioned bang olfusen included ( which is rare on the AMGs ) 127k MSRP when new. Got it for 69k plus $800 shipping. 577 HP 0-60 in 3.8 secs ( I read the specs ) .

After selling my cayenne GTS I needed a solid fast daily where I can coast and cover long distance travel all over east coast this year I think this will do just fine .

Looks great! I've considered that given I can't find what I want in the X6M.

Sadly I parted ways with my baby M3 (leased). I'm in a mean looking F85 Black Sapphire Edition now - all blacked out...How I wish I could keep both but unfortunately I could only afford one so had to settle for an AWD M (for keeps) and loving every moment with it!...I will surely look out for you bro - both your cars should be easy to spot!

Ty sir ! I'm more excited to drive this when I get it by next weekend than my new m8 convertible. It has bang olfusen sound which I'm super excited about seeing in a amg is rare . It was a 5,400 option then .

I was going to pull the trigger on a x6m sapphire addition at deluxe auto ( clean carfax non Canadian car ) they are bad asses . Would have saved me 11k too. But I chose this for a change the color the options certified car got me I .

There's one for 62,900 in Boston I negotiated them to 61k with only 28,000 miles I was tempted . Def look into it . It was a great deal and still is . I paid more for certification and b&o sound.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your AMG! My F85 Sapphire Edition comes with B&O sound system and I love it (first time having it)! The sound is amazing! Please provide feedback on your AMG (ride quality, power, etc.) after awhile. I'm very curious. Thanks and good luck!
