i drove home last night and this morning in comfort mode. in this mode, its a lot stiffer then oem sport plus mode. i've driven/owned a few lowered cars over the years (e46 m3 pss10 and 2008 GT3) but they are not as stiff/bouncy as these VTF. perhaps i need to raise a bit? or perhaps i just need to drive and get use to it more?

i'll see how a feel in a few weeks. but right now, if you ask me... it's really stiff and bouncy in sport and sport plus modes. comfort mode is okay
Any update on the ride? Did it improve over time or still stiff and bouncy?
Well like anything, I got used to the ride. It does not feel as bouncy as before. It actually feels normal on the freeway and normal city driving. But potholes still feel hard and uneven roads make for a bouncy event at fast speeds. In all fairness, I have not tried any other lowered suspension on this car so I don't have anything to compare it to. I'm satisfied with the ride and it's great price point.

If anyone in the Bay Area wants to feel the ride, please contact me 😜

Do you wish you had gone with KW's or is this set-up still working out for you?

I saw an F85 X5M bouncing along the free way. It looked comical actually and felt sorry for the guy. It was lowered and had a negative rake angle. Wonder if he was riding on H&R or may be he had a mechanical rear suspension issue. The vehicle looked odd as it bounced away at speed.

I intend on researching this topic for awhile before making a decision. There seems to be A LOT of mixed info out there and I only want to install suspension once! lol

For interest, I've been chatting to MSS here in the UK who already do a fitment for the F95 chassis.

I've told them there's a potential untapped market here for F85 owners.

What do you think?

I contacted them a while back too. They said that they were only offering options for the F95 at that time. But I'm very interested if they plan to offer a solution for the F85. Please keep us posted.

Good to know! I'm definitely not doubting that KW's are the best option. I am questioning if springs are as bad as some people are making them out to be though. This whole debate for me between KW's or saving some money and getting springs only exists because there are about 20 things I want to buy right now for my F85 lol.

The confusing part for me is that springs keep all the stock functions but some people claim springs just ruin the ride completely. Why are people desiring to keep all stock functions if they have to sacrifice ride quality to keep... ride quality??? Is anything actually gained or are springs simply trading function (performance) for form (looks)?

Pretty much the same situation over here, almost verbatim.

Too many discrepancies between opinions that I just halted everything and cancelled my installation. Some people happy/no problems, some people hating/big problems. Weird... Still waiting for SpaceJamm to post his specs.

Spaceljamm is running VTFs, which you have said multiple times in numerous threads you don't want. His pics are all over Instagram. What exactly are you still trying to figure out? KWs + Camber arms + install = $5k. If you aren't going to drop that much cash, buy the VTFs and call it a day. This isn't a question or whether to rip out your engine and replace it, they are just springs and tons of members run both. Get the VTFs and if you hate them sell em off and spend the $5k on KWs.

I'd purchase this immediately if they had a setup for F86.

The problem with going to low in the rears is tire wear. I'm debating on rear camber arms. Which one is everyone using ?

How are these.
