Question for those who has tints done by a shop.

Last time I got a car fully tinted was back in 1999 and it cost $150 lol. I know I know prices have definitely gone up since. But I was recently quoted $175 for front two windows and $150 for the pano sunroof using ceramic tint. Is ceramic tint that much more expensive or is that the going rate these days?

By the way for what it’s worth...comes with 7 year warranty and certification of authenticity.

May look to do the same with the side mirrors auto fold and tailgate.

I got llumar pinnacle ceramic tint and it definitely helped reduce the heat inside the car during the hot summer days. Even when driving you don’t feel like you are roasting away. I attached a photo of the prices for the shop I went to.
I am looking to get the windshield tinted with their air 80 tint.

nice. imo the side skirts completes the look.
Thanks! Now the long wait for shipping...

It’s been 3 days since I got the front windows and sunroof tinted and not happy about it. There is dirt bubbles and some marks I can’t explain. Called the shop today and spoke to the owner he apologized and told me to bring it when ever I want and he’ll make it right. Why can’t their workers just get it right the first time?!?! Now I have to take half a day from work to get the tints redone

Should’ve gone to the art of tint lol
But to be fair, even art of tint messed up one of my windows, had a little crease which they said they will fix when I bring it in. Haven’t had time though and it’s not that noticeable.

They really need a clean environment for the tint install. Bubbles go away but lint/dirt/creases don’t... good luck with fix, im sure they will make it right.

I just got my windshield done ceramic a couple of days ago too. It was $150 and the sunroof would have cost another $150 so I skipped it. I notice some little spots just like you have!

Oh cool. We'll see how it pans out. Their message said that it may take a lot longer because of the pandemic. Plus obv extra time coming from the UK to the US.

haha..maybe i should have gone to the art of tint. but yeah the place definitely needs a clean dust free environment to install tints. as you can see in the pic i posted they were doing bodywork on other cars.

any noticeable difference with the interior staying cooler with the windshield done?

got the two front windows redone yesterday. looks a lot better but did notice some air/water bubbles hopefully it goes away in a few days as the tint cures.

I'd say it's a little cooler inside but it's hard to tell. The dash is still hot since it's 106 outside.. but I'd say it's not as bad.

106? Ouch. At least the humidity out there is not bad.

Nice! I was looking to change mine to gloss black. While you had the airbag out you should’ve done the paddle shifters too!!

CF paddle shifters next on the list

The trim didn’t require removing the airbag just popped out the trim and replaced

Ah there’s an easier way. What are your tips on taking it out?

I used a small flat head screwdriver but pry took probably be best. Start from the top and gently pry all around and eventually it pops right out.

Looks great! I just picked up a 16 m sport in mineral white with the 19" 467m wheels and have been trying to find a picture of a MW M sport with those wheels powder coated black. Gotta say I really like the look. You may have convinced me to save a couple/few thousand and powder coat them instead up go for 469m's.
