Well, so much for customer service. MODE gave many excuses for why my 2 month old, ceramic coated, perfectly cared for tips are already deteriorating. They are happy to sell me new ones though. Incredibly disappointing.

Happy new year to you and your family, thank you for your best wishes. We returned to work today after a much needed break from 2020.

We have received the images and can see the finish is beginning to fail, this can be caused from a few things;

- Exhaust tip heat exceeding finishing application heat. (Such as a very intense track days)
- Salt acid spray corrosion. (Such as substances used in regions where it snows)
- Washing the car with hot exhaust tips. (This can stun the metal and quickly change temperature causing finish to fail)
- High pressure cleaners too close or again on a hot exhaust tip.
- Heavy degreasers, acid wash, etc. (Corrosive cleaners will eat into the finish causing premature wear)

Unfortunately there is no way for us to know what each customers exhausts tips will be exposed to as each vehicle is located in different regions and exposed to different elements and conditions.

One thing we do know is if the finish has failed, unfortunately it will fail again.

For customers in harsh climates or vehicles exposed to more extreme conditions we suggest the ceramic coated option. These are high temp coated and will not have finishing issues. Please take a look and let us know if these will work for you.

Hi guys, I may sell mine. I'm having second thoughts on installing. I ordered the Black Chrome from MODE and it took over a month to arrive. I received them a few days ago. Just putting it out there for a feeler.

Ok. Got my car back. Installed today with pics below. Just to recap I ordered the chrome tips from alibaba on accident. Meant to order the black ones. Instead of returning them and getting a replacement, I took them to local powder coat place and get them done in gloss black. During that time I was rear ended on the highway and my suv has been at the body shop repaired.

The taillights are tinted with luxe film, the emblems I made myself. I painted and wrapped them with luxe film.

Hi guys, for everyone that installed these Mode tips - can you provide feedback if you don't mind? I'm assuming you've had them for awhile now. I'm considering getting it and powder coating them to avoid discoloration. But if I get a lot of negative feedback then I may just save my money for a new exhaust down the road...I've got a black sapphire metallic F85 and wanted to change tips from chrome to black chrome. Much appreciated. Thanks!
