Smoke white interior

So I'm looking to get x5m

( 2017/2018) ... so it has some warranty left during initial ownership....
I initially wanted either Aragon brown or red interior BUT there's a back exterior w smoke white interior & brown leather ( top dash)

Now is smoke white a pia to keep clean & away from scuff marks etc

Important FYI is I have twin 7-year old daughters ....

Should I be cautious about getting Smoke White interior?

No way in hell, would not get a white interior with kids. Your weekends will involve lots of cleaning and detailing

100% what he said above. I have two boys (4 & 1) and the red has been solid as the darker tones hide any minor scuffs, let alone a larger ones.

I have white in my M550i that in am about to turn in. It has held up great and the work was not that much to clean. The seat belts and front seat backs are the hardest parts. I don't allow the kids to eat or drink (other than water) in my car. Biggest challenge is that kids want to put their shoes in the seats.

Agreed. I have the Ivory Nappa and while I love it - I don't have kids. And when I get clients in it (or people I don't know well) I always get to do a clean up the next day from the foot drags and prints.

If you are anal about a clean car - don't do white with kids - no way. I still freaking love it and get lots of compliments on it, but I'd be a mess if I had kids.

I have Aragon in my '17 and it really is a beautiful color. I have an infant and can't imagine having the Smoke White interior.

I had a white interior 640i convert with white interior. Even when used by two retired persons only, the whatever is a bit of a demanding mistress

What do you use for a car seat protector under the baby seat that doesn't bleed color through, leave marks, or melt?

I purchased a “mat” that sits under the base, runs up the seat back and clips around the headrest. I placed the infant seat on the passenger side but the size of it would work for a center placement too, just not sure how’d you secure it without the headrest.

I used no seat protector at all. I do have a Diono one that I used on my F10 M5 in the past. Had the same Sakhir Orange interior and seats were pristine afterwards.

Kids are inherently messy, so any vehicle that has lite colored seats needs protection period. Either that, or you must like cleaning your back seats.
