12" Wheel Width

Just curious if anyone has tried a 21" wheel with 12" width on the rear? Or a 21" wheel with 10.5" width on the front? Would this setup work with the Michelin PSS OEM spec tires?

It should be fine. Look at rim width range:

This tells you the tires are fine on rim, but will everything clear suspension? I would think height would be ok , inside widths might be an issue.. dunno!

I have 21x11 front 21x13 rear, so as long as he has proper offsets there shouldn't be a problem

I am running 21x11 +32 square with 295/35. No rubbing lock to lock and lowered on H&R VTF.

I considered going wider all around until I decided to leverage the OEM 21" tires I had with more aggressive offsets than stock. Mostly because BC Forged didn't have any experience going with a wider setup, just the OEM 21" and the typical 295/335 22" setup. I was nervous to start messing around.

But if I could go wider, and use the (better performing and more readily available?) PS4Ss in summer, I would consider selling my setup and going for it. As long as there was no rubbing at all, I imagine the wider tires would have helped my rig perform better especially at my last track event.

I would be looking for aggressive offsets to keep the tires flush or just outside of fender wells like I have it right now. Since my OEM 21" setup is 10" front and 11.5" rear, I would probably run 11" front and 12.5" rear, unless the 13" rear made more sense due to available tire sizes. Because I want the tires to sit square and not be stretched or overhang the wheels too much.

If you can provide more details and pictures, that would be great.

How does this run compared to the staggered setup? I'm considering the same for a winter setup

I purchased my BC Forged in the same sizes as the 612Ms because I like the look and had a set of Michelins in the basement. I am hoping Conti releases something that competes with the Michelins. I ran Conti all seasons almost exclusively on my E53 4.8is and thought they were phenomenal.

Now I just need to get the VTFs and play with ride height somewhat.

Yeah same here, just more aggressive offsets which make all the difference. It's funny how just a few millimeters will make the factory 612s look that much smaller despite the wheels being the same size.

I had the Conti Sport (whatever the model) on my old wimpy 2010 Lexus RX350 because of the way I drove. And I swear I would be able to get that thing on two wheels before those tires would ever break traction!

I’ve got a set of 20” BC Forged wheels with 12” wide rears and massive 345 MPSS tires that I’m going to sell soon. The width looks so good/ aggressive out back.

I would say over time I wish the front offset was out a bit further, maybe like 5mm. I'm not rubbing on the front so maybe I should have gone half an inch wider in the front rims

I would definitely want to run wheels only/no spacers. But BC Forged couldn't give me a confirmation on what would work without rubbing. So I went with stock wheel sizes and more aggressive offsets. They look great, but I would rather the wider wheels and rubber for summer if I could get them.

If I could figure out a setup like yours with the PS4S tires, I might sell my stock 612s and use my current summer setup for winter. Just trade everything up.

Let me know if you have any insight or if you know anyone else who has been successful with this exact setup flush to flares minus spacers.

Thanks
