Question about Connected Drive

I am sure its prolly been asked before, but some how I could not find the answer,

Does CPO extend the connected drive subscription for a year as well ? Our 17 X5M is showing out of active subscription, bought last year with 5800 miles CPO.

CPO warranty has nothing to do with the Connected Drive subscription. The Connected Drive Subscription is something that you subscribe to and pay for. I kept it for a year, and decided that I didn't need it, and I get more information out of my iPhone. And it was slow in comparison to my iPhone.

If you purchased CPO it should give you a year free service among other features. I purchased my 2018 XM5 in November 2020 and I just checked and it saids it will have to be renewed September 9/28/2021.

The CPO also included the following services:
Auto map update
Wifi hotspot compatibility
BMW assist
BMW tele
RTTI
remote services
I purchased Apple CarPlay through the connected drive website. $300

I would go to their website and see what options you have which should be similar to mine. Maybe you never activated it but it should have been done by the dealer.

May be I am misunderstanding it,

So our X5M has an inservice date of 2/17,, so the original Factory warranty / BMW connected Drive services expired 2/21 and CPO extends just the warranty to 2/22.
I am guessing and could very well be wrong, your inservice date is 9/17 (makes you a MY18) and hence original factory warranty / BMW connected drive services expire in 9/21 and CPO extends the warranty to 9/21.

I believe it goes by your CPO purchase date not the inservice date. From the purchase date you get a year. You can set up your connected drive account on your computer and all of your information will be there. You can also set up an account through BMWUSA website and add your car. It has other features and benefits as well and you can set auto car payments and see your account plus more.
