Just had her 1 year anniversary and she has 24k Miles! Never had so much fun driving the equivalent of driving around the earth in a year! These shots in front of my bank seemed appropriate, I was probably getting more gas money.

Your X6M would look good with a blacked out roof. We had our X5M roof painted recently.

How do you still have a dealer tag even though you've had the X5M for a year?

I have the plates in my glove box. No advantage to putting the plates on!

So you're saying you can drive around for a year and not put on number plates? If that's the case, then by all means take off the Rusnak thing, why give away free advertising for the dealership!

Then you'll get pulled over. This way cops don't that you didn't just buy the car.

Here in Texas we get paper plates, you don't in California?

Nope. They tape a small piece of paper in the bottom front windshield which is your registration. You don't get anything that goes on the actual plates until the metal ones arrive. So as long as you are driving a new car and have the dealer advertisement the cops just assume you don't have your plates yet. Paper plates make all more sense. I grew up in Utah and that's what they do there too.

Did you paint the roof or wrap it? Which is better? Has anyone on board wrap their roof in Carbon Fiber? If so, please post pictures. I'm thinking about doing my roof, but undecided on which route to take. If you have more roof pictures please post some close-ups. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t do the carbon roof. I’ve seen it before on the previous gen x6m and I’ve noticed that over time it looks a little faded because it’s matte. Unless you somehow get a good quality gloss carbon but not sure if it will look really fake. Not sure if it’s also possible to do a double wrap where you would use the matte carbon fibre weave and then apply a gloss clear wrap on top to give it that depth that the real carbon has to give it that real 3D effect. Would have been nice to have a real option with the double bump like the RKP M2 piece. Love the gloss black roof though looks awesome painted or wrapped. Just don’t forget the side blades on the side if you don’t have a roof rack blades.
