Found right rear suspension out of air. Right on cue?! Lol. I noticed the left rear low a week or so ago as well. Likelihood of both failing at same time seems remote. Perhaps not the air bags but a controller or something. I will check if any ECU codes. I included a pic of the LR as well which was really high as a result of the RR dropping.

Theres factors when it comes to getting covered with cpo or extended warranty for sagging air suspension as most dealers won't cover if sagging is caused by a tear on the bag but will cover if the air compressor itself or other related components are faulty. If they agree to cover a damaged bag after factory warranty has expired its out of good will this is something Ive asked specifically with BMWNA before I purchased my platinum extended coverage and Im guessing it would apply for CPO as well. A bottle of wine during your visit may come along way
EDIT: found this from StatenEye 's thread WHAT IS NOT COVERED The BMW Certified Pre-Owned Protection Plan and the BMW Certified Elite Protection Plan provide specific coverage against defects in materials and workmanship. There are various items that are not covered by these warranties for enrolled vehicles retailed on or after January 1, 2014. Suspension Ball joints; bushings; center tie rod; coil springs – sagging (except for leveling system pneumatic/hydraulic springs); control arms and brackets; idler and pitman arms; stabilizer bar links and supports; strut elements/shock absorbers (dampers); tie rod ends and adjusting sleeves; trailing arms, thrust struts; wishbones. Good news is he got covered but doesn't mention the actual cause Last edited by 201; 01-20-2020 at 12:00 AM.. |

My Mercedes GL seems to have something more like one piece bellows/strut, which is a bigger deal. |

It's either bad bag or compressor leakage. Compressor is under passenger side rocker. Arnott makes replacement bags. Coil over are ridiculous priced. Pick your poison or trade her in!!

I, too, just suffered from rear suspension sag. Both rear air bags had pinholes causing the air to leak. The air bags would fill with air after opening a door or starting the motor, but would intermittently leak and cause the rear to sag after the car was parked. The dealer replaced both rear air bags.

Looks like the OEM air spring from FCP Euro and their lifetime warranty is the way to go in the future and the DIY instructions look pretty straight forward.

Can anyone confirm that the F15 air suspension uses the same parts as the F85? I just purchased Arnott A-2642. The Arnott rep wasn't 100% sure if this part would fit the F85. However, the FCP Euro site does say this part fits.
Getting them replaced on Friday and the last thing I want to do is spend a total of 1.5 hours driving to and from the shop and not have the right parts. Thanks! |

In case anyone was curious, I went with aftermarket air bags and they seem to be great so far.

LR air suspension next...
As I suspected the LR wasn't too far behind RR. When one goes, the other can't be far behind. Will wait until things settle down from COVID.

Funny, I came out Sunday morning and had a slight panic ( lol ) because the rear was sagging like yours. Turned her on and got out to watch her inflate again. Cool. Haven't driven her in a week so I guess its expected.
