Snow experience in my 21" Yoko BE tires
I'm happy to say that after having my 2018 x6m for 2.5 years that I have FINALLY driven in winter conditions. I live in DC and we barely have gotten any snow. And I think the one or two times we got anything I happened to be out of town. lol
So I use my stock bmw 21" rims and I just swap out my summers and put on my winters. I read all the horror stories and I can safely say I didn't die lol. But seriously, I was driving through a snow storm this weekend in the Appalachian Mountains (Deep Creek) and was about 6 inches of barely plowed snow (about 8 inches all weekend where our cabin was in the middle of nowhere) and it drove GREAT. I just drove it in the regular mode for the most part. Any challenging areas I just had it in sport/M mode and it was great. Honestly felt in complete control the whole time and had zero issues. Just wanted to share the news for those that are on the fence of getting 20" winters or 21" on their stock rims. For ME, living in DC I'm glad I did the 21's. I would have hated the way the 20" looked. |

I agree 100%! I read stories about the 21's being too wide, low profile, etc...not true. I can say that the Bluearth's are awesome tires in the snow! I even bought a set for my wife's X7 and the confidence they inspire is priceless.
Won't hijack the thread but I just sold my X6 M and will be listing a set of these with 1 1/2 seasons on them...less than 8K miles. I am a big fan!! |

Slight hijack. There goes my black envy again. When I have black, I hate it as it gets dirty by looking at it. When I switch colors (DG now), I drool every time I see black. Looks sweet.
