Question on some 21 used wheels

So I've recently seen some 599m for sale, they are totally rashed up and would require refinishing and need tires and senors and balancing.
My question is these wheels are like $$4k new with tires, they sell on here for about 2k-3k with tires depending on condition, what would buy them for if you know they need that much work?

Tires are $$1500 senors are $$300 refinishing them would be around $$150 per wheel. I know they look good but what is it worth to you?? if so how much is it to you?

I would try to work a deal with the local BMW dealership on a new set. Being that the F15 is no longer in production, you may be able to work a better deal than the $4K and not have to mess with repairs, and other issues.
It's possible, believe me. I see people selling used OEM 611M winter sets on here for $2.5K - $3K, I had a deal with my dealership for a new set mounted and out the door for $2,800.

Totally agree - rip off for 3k. I bought a set of 551 as a winter set for 500, wheels only. Refurb 150. TPMS sensors for all 4 wheels at 100.

$3000 for 599M wheels/no tires or TPMS is nuts even if they were in great condition

There's a new set (wheels, tires, TPMS) listed here on the forum for $4250 - that's about the best you'll find 'brand new' - otherwise, you're looking at $4700-$4800 at the most popular online sites like Tischer.

I just paid $1800 a few months ago for OEM 599M wheels. 2 had minor rash that most people probably would have lived with, but me being OCD I had them fixed for $175 per wheel. TPMS are only $140 if you skip OEM and go through RG Sport.

I opted going the above route as it was not such a big hit on the bank account all at once, and I can purchase the tire of my choice vs. Pirelli P Zero run flats if buying a set new through a BMW dealer/online retailer.

I believe the issue is that the seller didnt actually buy the wheels they were off one of his client's car and probably just looked them up new and figure is asking price was adequate.
Honestly I wouldn't spend more than $600-$700 in their present condition, because I know what it takes to get them back to my liking.
