WTB an F16 X6..

Hi guys,

Im new here and signed up specifically for a few opinions regarding the f16 bmw X6 either x30d or x35i.

A bit of background of my past cars. For the past 8 years, i have owned an e92 bmw 335i, and for the past 5 years my wife has owned a toyota kluger (hilander)

I am looking at buying an x6 for myself now, as with 2 pre school aged kids, i find getting them in and out of my e92 a challenge at the best of times...

What i want to know, is for a big car, how does it handle compared to my kluger (hilander)? im not too fussed on the power, as i know it would be better than the kluger.

i find the kluger is a bit of a boat on the freeway between 70-80mph and going around a slight bend at those speeds doesnt instil confidence.

I would love to take an x6 for a test drive, but the closest dealer who has an x6 from me is 3 hrs drive away, so i would like some help prior to visiting one. (there is currently only 50 for sale, both new and used in the whole country)

i did drive my mates new 2018 x3 30d, and the handling was far superior to the kluger, but i was wondering if the excess weight of the x6 will degrade its performance and handling compared to the x3..

would the x5 and x6 be a similar drive?

any advice or opinions would be grateful.
thanks

I don't own a X6 - but have an X5 and my previous car was a durango. I will add that the durango doesn't compare in anyway to the x5 in terms of handling - and i'm sure the X6 would be only better.

If you have kids or anyone in and out of the back seat often. I would opt for the X5. The X6 backseat isn't very practical IMO. The way the roof slopes and the decrease in leg room.

I’ve had both, F15/16 and I wouldn’t buy another one w/out the DHP. If handling is an issue/concern for you, I highly recommend only buying one with DHP.
