Waiting for you review after break in. Need your input about comparison with ACS spring.

Approximately eight hundred miles later:

General opinion is far less bounce than ACS, factory feel all around. Adaptive settings feel like +1. The Comfort now feels like Sport. The Sport feels like Sport+. The Sport+ feels more firm without the bounce and jarring effects of some of the other springs out there like H&R. These are paired with the Dinan Handling Kit (M5 Dampers) and I left the stock links in for a rake effect and passenger comfort in addition to not having any issues with leaking bags or warranty claims. In summation; if you want OEM+ look with OEM feel this is most likely the best way to go. If you are looking to go low and slam this thing it is not for you.

I've read that some remove the bump stops after dropping on springs, did you remove yours as well or left them?

I removed the original ones which came with the X5M and installed the ones that Dinan offers as part of the kit.

Looks pretty close to mine with the Dinan Links in.

FYI for whoever can't find it on Tirerack, they are for the X5M which on tirerack a lot of the suspension is the same part number as the X5 50i with rear air suspension. I figured that out and ordered the X5M kit and it installed with NO issues. Also used the Dinan bumpstops and it rides very well

Kid tested, wife approved; so I am incredibly pleased with the results especially since fashion does not impede function in this particular instance. Hopefully this thread helps others who are undecided or just want that OEM+ look.

Thanks for posting this. I had completely discounted Dinan springs until finding this thread. Many people complain of them being too soft or bouncy. Dinan "sells" them as mostly factory feel but slightly stiffer which is what you're echoing.

Your first picture makes me think it's a solid no for me but your last pic with them settled seems pretty perfect.

Hindsight is 20/20, would you do it again?

Yes. For me it was about a minor reduction in height to improve the looks without sacrificing passenger comfort; basically an OEM+ effect. If that is your goal then this is your "kit" but if you want the lowest vehicle and do not care about ride comfort then there are other options out there for more dramatic drop. If you're going for improved handling then a proper coil over suspension is the only way to go.

I've heard the same thing with Eibach; oem like suspension with a minor drop. Does anyone have any experience between Eibach and Dinan?

Overtime how much did this really lower the car? If you have to do it again would you recommend? TIA.

Did you install yourself? I’ve never taken apart an assembly with electronic adjustable struts before.
