Sorry to hear this and glad no one was hurt.

However, there's nothing that can't be fixed. Hope your deductible is low and you have good insurance company. How was that Lincoln after this ?

Son of a biscuit! That same sort of slight delay resulted in a bike drop for me. Top of an exit ramp to take a right, Guy In Front pulls off, I look over my left shoulder, a car was coming but there was plenty of distance so, I take off - while looking ahead - to find that Guy In Front changed his mind about moving on. I managed to avoid bumping him but the abrupt stop shifted the balance on that heavy wench and I just laid her down as gently as I could. A "controlled drop" is every but as embarrassing as a lowside!

Is the painted reflector gone or did she rub the paint off?

All I remember is a red blur in my peripheral and me swerving to the left but not enough and not in time. She took my wheel and quarter panel down her driver side. It was a 2019 Lincoln small suv.
Bottom line is Everyone is ok. No tickiet thankfully. Cop said well shit happens and everyone's ok. I think it helped that I'm the one that told him what happened when he came up to us and I started with "it was my fault".

On a positive note. My wife called me after work and said "well now with a new hood and bumper you can finally get that bra thing you wanted when you bought the car"

This is why I married her

Glad you’re ok brah

Didn't examine it super close but what was obvious was both driver side doors. Maybe a quarter panel or 2. But that's it. She took my bumper right down her driver side. Cop estimated $7k in damage. Lol I don't understand why that's even part of their little form.

That would be fun. But if I went M I think I may wait for F95 or G80 as my wife is up for a new car and wants an SUV. No need to have two SUVs lol.

Although again no way this thing is going to be totaled. As long as it stays purely cosmetic as what it seems.

Do you think you'd have benefited from a wide(r) mirror angle, i.e. insert or euro-spec mirror, or it was too late to even see the vehicle?

I have done a few mods, but this is the one that has been most worth $ to $. Infact, I am scared driving rental cars now.

I, infact, got it from a Canadian forum member, but only on driver side.
Perhaps, need to invest on passenger, too!

Glad all parties were ok. Well at least now you have a muse for more tutorials. Hood replacement, headlight swap/aiming, and F85 bumper retrofit!

Already have both from when I did the M mirror retrofit. Didn't help as the concave mirrors only help for cars that are already next to you. This lady was several cars back when I pulled out. And doing like 50 so nothing would help that except just seeing her. The biggest issue was the cars behind me were blocking the angle. And I took it for granted I guess.

I’m gonna guess 28k. I just had a bumper replaced and betwenethe sensors, recalibration at BMW, etc. the parts alone were 10k... the paint and body work were a ton.

Either way, happy to hear everyone was ok.

The sensors are good. Maybe one will need replacing but no damage to the front. What calibration did the dealer do for you? You can replace pdc without calibration. You referring to ACC? Mine wasn't damaged at all. In fact I didn't have a single alarm on inside the car after the wreck. Kinda worried me about the TPMS but ya. It's nearly all cosmetic so ya no where near $28k but I'll put it down.
