I'm not worried about that. Glorified fender bender and as far as I look at it. Now I have brand new bumper hood and paint jobs that I can protect like new. Real question is how to protect the pain for 30 days before I can clear bra it.

Well I got in the wreck about 100 miles from home as I'm TAD for work. And am gonna have to get it home. And jusging how it looked when I make that drive back and forth on the weekends (bug haven) I think this is gonna be tricky

Next fun part is gonna want to get a new set of IND painted reflectors installed before they mount the bumper. Something tells me they may refuse given they're not "legal" so I hope they let me come in one day next week and slap them in from inside rather than going though the PiTA process that it was to get thr old ones out and the new ones in without damaging them. Nah. That's a bit too much of a poser for my liking. I do wish it happened to the rear bumper though. Cuz then I would be doing the f85 rear bumper and exhaust

Seeing that they would paint your bumper anyways wouldn't hurt to ask your shop to paint the reflectors as well

Are they that strict in VA with stuff like that? Friend of mine got his reflectors painted at a bmw collision center without an issue maybe they can do the same for you and save you the trouble.

It's in Maryland but idk. Haven't asked yet. And I already ordered the parts but your right couldn't hurt to ask and then I can try and sell them maybe.

And car is not drive able. Needs new tire and oil cooler at a minimum. I should of had it towed home if I thought about this before hand. Oh well. I'll just have to have it professionally detailed with no wax/sealant or something before I have the brah put on. Maybe I can find a shop to do both. Wasn't a lot of options the last time I recall when I looked into this.

So talked to the guy today. Going to have him send all my rims to get repainted. And asked them to ask the painter to paint the reflectors. He also said something weird about the dealer telling him "there's a new bumper with different reflector shape" now so he had to order different reflectors....anyone have any idea wtf he's talking about.

I just ordered a new set of ind painted ones and never seen anyone talk about a slight change to the bumper in any of the year?

They must have made tweaks, I guess, since the earlier year models to accommodate new features or rearrange the internal landscape, or because of design flaws.

Based on my recent experience w/replacing interior trim and seeing screw holes not lining up perfectly, I can see this as plausible scenaria.

Ya that was my first thought but he said the parts were different.

Wonder if anyone has a 2017/2018 model that can take a pic of their reflectors. IND doesn't show different parts for the different year F15

So shop "failed to catch a broken air duct" and now my car is late to being fixed.

On a side note...is it "unsafe" to drive a car before an alignment that had a tie rod replaced? Is that piece more special than a control arm cuz I know I can drive on those without an immediate alignment.

Edit: ugh FML...nvm, answered my own question. Clearly had a brain fart as to what the tie rod was.

How bought this, do you have to have the bumper on the car to do an alignment?
