F86 vs E71 exhaust

Hello,

At first glance the exhausts appear to be identical. However, wherever you look pricing is very different between the current and previous gen.

Anyone know what the physical differences are - at least for axleback? Are they compatible?

*Edit: Hmm. Muffler looks similar. Distance in pipes from muffler to tips also looks to be similar. Difference appears to be bends on midpipe and where midpipe meets muffler, valve actuators on the 86.

I am currently using an exhaust from an f85 on an e70 x5m, the downpipes and first section up to first set of resonators are e70, mid-pipe back to exhaust is from f85.

Fits great with a little elbow grease and cutting

S63 and s63tu use different downpipes...

I have my old E70 exhaust that I can measure up against the F85 this weekend.

I measured it against the E70 exhaust and looks like it will fit.

You can see my F85 bumper on top of the E70 exhaust.
