New tire issue

I have been running 335/25 R22 on the back and 285/30 R22 in the front since I bought the car December. Went to get new tires yesterday due to a flat. They wouldn’t put the same size on due to the load rating being 105 in that size. Said it needed to be at least a 108 load rating. So they were able to get just the rear tire’s yesterday in a size 315/35 R22 and order fronts in the same size I had on there to arrive two days later that meet the load rating of 108. So they put just the rear on. I drove the car for about 20 miles and now the car is almost undrivable does a weird vibration on acceleration and then it acts like it goes into limp mode but no lights come on I’m assuming it’s because they put that big ass tire on the back and the fronts are the original still And there’s like a 2 1/2 inch circumference difference between the front and the back now. Will this make your car act like that?

That’s your transfer case yelling at you that your tire diameters are wayyyyy too different. No more than 1.5% is the max, you are at 6.7%. Basically, your transfer case is trying to adapt and is confused and will end up destroying itself with those tires.

Don’t drive your car until you get the right tires. Yell at your tire shop for screwing you over and not researching correctly.

Your transfer case is about $4k, tires are much cheaper and a car rental is stupid cheap while you wait. Don’t destroy your transfer case.

PS. Load rating has nothing to do with it. I run 108 on my PS4S with no issues. Ride is just a tad harsher because they are stiffer.

So should 295/30 and 335/25 be ok?

You would want the size you originally had, 285/30r22 to go along with the 335/25r22 to keep the diameters as close as possible
