Racechip Users with Downpipes?

I recently got the racechip from r33_RGSport and I'm happy with the power gain that my butt dyno detected . But now I'm looking into downpipes and was told that RC doesn't clear CEL. While I could just run with CEL on and not worry about it, just still interested to know that if any RC users run catless DPs and what is your solution for CEL? Also, do you feel any more gains on the car in the same S2 settings?

Thanks for your reply!

Also, Ben was a great guy to deal with. Very responsive with PMs and I'm planning on returning to his shop again once he has DG painted reflectors ready

Ben gets all of my BMW Performance business. Good guy !

You don't have many options for the cat delete code with a stock ECM plus RC. I would not do it unless you are ok with the cel light and exhaust smell. 700hp Corvette's only pick up 8 rwhp with the cat delete. Not sure on the M, but it's probably close to that. The sound is better without the cats. Dad's O2 Simms have had "some" success in the Vette world. Hit or miss but might be worth a try. Good luck !

Thank you guys.
There are solutions, but not permanent solution or at least, not an automatic solution.

There are:
- OBD2 bluetooth dongle, where you have to reset manually (this way will reset your ECU where your DME will relearn the engine on every reset, which means, your car will never run optimized. BMS JB4 also doing the same thing, but it is doing it automatically).
- Mini-Cat (hit and miss)
- O2 extension (not guaranteed)

PS: I believe JB4 is disabling that feature by default now since they were audited by CARB and trying to get their products CARB approved.

Correct the JB4 does NOT do auto clear in the US. You have to manually clear code every time.
