X5 40e Long Crank, Idle Stumble
Hi all, I’ve got a 2017 X5 40e with 35k. It’s runs well, but it has to crank seemingly longer than it should to start the ICE, and starts with a bit of a clunk, and stumbles at idle when cold. Once warm it idles fine, but it still takes a few cranks to start, and doesn’t start smoothly. Most reviews for the 40e says it is pretty seamless from EV to ICE, but mine isn’t at all. Also, for those of you who have 40e’s, what’s your idle RPM? Is it also 950, like mine?
Any thoughts on what could cause this? O2 sensor? |

Are you mostly driving short distances only in electrical mode ?
Charge the battery (normal one - terminals under front hood) Maybe coincidence, but this resolved my problem I had |
