Overall diameter is also 1 inch less than oem sizing.

Are you going to have them bored before shipping or is the buyer going ro have to do that on their own?

That would be a discussion with the buyer of course.

Thanks for your input CeeTee

All we're saying sir, is that this isn't an OEM spec X5 set.
Boring a wheel is very difficult, not to mention the overall diameter. Yes, you try and bore it, but an one mm difference will cause vibration.. It's a very delicate job.
If someone pays your asking price, which may well be worth, they will have to deal with all these technicalities.

You would think that a guy who only uses this forum to flog used wheels would realize this is not a wheel for the X5/X6 crowd.

You're right.

But it's been done plenty of times and that will depend on where you take them to get done.

I am aware it isn't X5 specs and I never advertised it as such.

Lastly, yes purchasing wheels does have it's technicalities that's why I urged -in my previous posts- any buyer to do their research beforehand

Thanks

What if a member here sees them and tells a friend that may be interested...? Isnt that what forums are for?

I am sure not all wheels posted here please or are for the "x crowd" ...

But we'd like to keep it that way. It's the X5/X6 forum. So only post stuff that fits the X5.

What's next, a 528i spoiler "because you could make it fit"?

Just not very efficient...

I did see one for 7 series.. Same bolt pattern, center bore, but offsets were in the 10s...not recommended for X5/6.
In short, yes you are right: technically speaking, anybody can sell whatever they want if there is buyer who may be interested.
But, just because you're free to do it, it does not mean you should.
We tend to be protective of what's being sold here as some folks got burned. Highly doubt a sale by proxy can occur here - nor it should in my opinion.
Wheel/tire sets should meet X5/6 specs in this forum.
That does not make you unreliable, or potential impostor, but you need to understand the crowd you are targeting here.

I respect and understand that. And the way you give feedback is appreciated as well.

The way I see it is many X owners also have a 7 or at least know someone who does. And as you said I am technically not violating any rules... People can simply ignore my thread, I will see no interest.. and everyone can move on

Cheers

If you were local, I'd agree to buy the wheels and offer to pay extra for delivery and send your pms mood ass to the boonies with absolutely no intention to buy. Prick

LOL

I really didn't want to answer to unnecessary insults and name calling, but I liked your keyboard warrior attitude.

For you to think of this genius idea and be convinced it would work without any regard that someone local would buy $3500 wheel without seeing them and get them delivered to the 'boonies', or even deliver with no deposit really tells me alot about you, and that you might be such seller that falls for this genius idea.

Secondly, another member called me a jerkoff and you called me a prick, I suggest both of you get together and settle on something... Not sure though how name calling is beneficial to anyone but oh well. That's on both of you to decide.

Last but not least, thanks for the free bump

OP as you can see, the style of your swagger is not exactly friendly - maybe that's why people react. How would you react to someone who appears dushebagy? Hopefully you are not like that in real life, but why you chose to act like that here is unknown to us. If you are trolling I can understand that, but think about it - who is going to buy your wheels after this thread? As a businessman you failed miserably here on classified section. Either you are young and easily taken away by some comments and you start defending yourself and burring deeper in snobism that people dislike here or you are a weirdo who enjoys it. Hard for me to see the point - people don't sell stuff like this, but you do what you want of course

Summarized well.

OP, I'm hoping you can read through your responses to people's request for detail and understand why people are gettin on you about this.

You may have had some genuinely interested people here but you've likely lost them at this point. GLWS.

I was called names and I didn't respond in the same way and treated everyone with respect, whether they were genuinely interested or not..

also I was responding not defending...

thanks for your input though
