thanks for the replies
one more question in your PDF it says to remove the air box.. for the last step, where its plugged into the dummy end and you turn on the engine, at that point in time the air filters have to be reconnected right? also, the cars battery should be disconnected at the start, and that's underneath the rear trunk? is there any wrench usage there? I don't have the proper tools since I am away from home so I am going to purchase/rent them. |

Unless you want to see a christmas light on the dash. The battery is in the trunk under the cover. I believe all held either by torx screw or 8mm screw. You have to check it, I don't remember since it has been a while and I don't have my X5 anymore.

i plugged the harness with dummy cable, didnt get any malfunction.
connected the chip, black ultimate GTS and the default settings were 5.. i left it on, so far i feel a minimal throttle difference and i can hear the gear shift louder and smoother than the typical 0-60 sprint to jerking down to xmph. secondly the power seems more linear.. as in when you let go of the pedal it doesnt just drop off sporadically. i expected more, but this is literally the first 5miles so i cant give a verdict yet. |

thanks for the reply
i have a question i am a little confused when i use dummy plug on stock i dont get any issues. Once i connect the chip i get a check engine light, i have tried setting 4/5 and 1. Now when it default starts with ignition it selects 3. Why do i keep getting CEL when i clear codes and start the car? Should i try deactivating the battery and then plugging the chip and starting after clearing CEL? |

http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1241984 They are for a S63TU, but the intercoolers and sensors are in the same place. You can thank r33_RGSport for creating that for us. Also, this photo posted above clearly shows where the correct sensors are. I know it's not the exact same engine layout as yours, but again, the sensors are in the same location. The airbox absolutely has to be removed to access them. Edit: Oops, I see you already have the instructions. I don't understand how you could use the wrong sensors if you followed the instructions.

Yes, remove the bar and you should be able to get a hand down to each sensor. There is one on each intercooler, which are the aluminum rectangular boxes located behind the bar.

nocbrute2345 , I can't see your images.
Here is the image of N63tu engine and I circled the sensors that you need to connec the harness to. As I mentioned again yesterday, if you still unable to do it, hire a proper knowledgeable mechanic or you are going to damage the RaceChip unit and /or your car.
